Now this little carve is just what I needed to get me back on track after a very bad winter where I couldn’t carve at all for 7 months. Sense I was just learning to carve, I almost gave up. Thank you again for a easy enough carve that I could do even if it’s not they good it was still fun. 🙏🏼

Did one, nice variation. My collection is +1, as is my experience. Keep on creating, you're doing great. I'll be using your smile on more carvings going forward. Carving is a global community now, and every contribution like this has far reaching effects as dabblers like me integrate what they learn and pass it on. The bicycle tube trick is a good tip from our worldwide carvers. I'll be trying that one, the elastic always fails on the commercial thumb guards, and the tape thing is just enough work that I usually don't bother, consequently, I have a constant slice on my thumb due to my laziness. I've pretty well learned to keep my hands out of the blade travel, but you only have to forget once. Glad to have widened my woodspirit horizons! Thanks!
