Finally, a Homeworthy home that doesn’t look like the former one and the former one before that. All white, the same accessories and similar wallpapers all designed by interior designers. I love Marianne and her stories, and her home’s quirkiness, beauty, depth of color… Both Marianne and her home have soul and personality.

Marianne is an absolute gem. The tour wasn't just about her house but rather the memories and stories attached to the unfolding of making her house a home. She also has a lovely sense of humour and I admire that she is comfortable knowing that everything she has is a cherished treasure within itself.

I am a hard core minimalist but I love this home. I really could not live in it but I love it. It is so unique, so creepy in places, so filled with life, drama, stories and color. It is filled with the personality of the owner and she is also funny. This is the type of home I love seeing on this channel, not those boring 'light and airy' homes which lack uniqueness and individuality.
@margokupelian3443 күн бұрын
I totally agree. As you said, there’s a lot of stories, drama, color and harmony I would say. I don’t like fancy houses with just fancy furniture that have no meaning to it. Yeah, it’s too much of a maximalist house and I can’t live in a house like this but I love it… 😊

AH! For once a home that REALLY reflects the person. I get really tired of hearing about rich people's gut renovations and high end appliances. Wonderful stories and so many wonderful pieces. It is true the 70s and 80s was a great time for collecting. I got so many wonderful things during those years and often for a song. So many antiques stores long gone had both high end and grandma's attic though turns out, Some Grandma's had great stuff. I know there's a wealth of stuff online but going into those stores, looking and touching and hearing the dealer's stories (which were often as not true) was a wonderful experience.

I am completely and utterly enamored with the eclectic elegance within this Home. The European elements incorporated throughout the Living spaces align with my personal decor tastes and preferences. The use of a multitudinous array of sumptuous fabrics, the rich colors throughout, and the prevalence of thrifted, marketplaced, and Antique shop acquired pieces are quite relatable. Her bedroom's headboard and draped half-tester canopy make my heart sing. Her description of Home as "A sanctuary and a Poem to yourself" is the description I, too, would have used. My username/handle is AvecPoesie, which means in French, "with poetry." I choose to live with poetry in my heart and mind; but also, to see Poetry all around me/ within all things. Thank you for describing Home as a poem to oneself! Ever since I purchased my Forever Home two years ago, I have been turning it aesthetically and energetically into my personal Sanctuary and Poem. 🪞🖤

Great home. Great hostess. About the ONLY thing that my eye kept going back to that I would change slightly were the two chairs in the living room. The "70s" mod chairs. Specifically the shade/color of the fabric. I just kept thinking a more saturated, richer color would work way better in the room. Frankly I think a lot of different colors would work, blue, green, even a brown but NOT black. Other than that. very cool. Lovely lady.
