Im having the same leak but my concern is that the bottom part of it will leak I notice the leak only in the front part of my car mainly by the dip stick and I’m seeing some places sell it with the bottom pice also any recs on where to get the part ?

Do you have to apply Honda gasket Maker On the VVT Solenoid, and if so, where do you apply it? And what is the torque specs on the bolts that go around the valve head assembly that's attached to VVT Solenoid for an 08 honda accord?

What is the torqe spec? When i tighten it it shows engine light and not running good at all. If i loosen them it leaks.

i got the dreaded leak and it fucked up my alternator and my car was throwing no codes (so im assuming part is working properly just gaskets deteriorate over time ) so i guess its something you gotta just pay attention to and after you replace it still keep an eye of it

@@Natesautorepairs that's what I am experiencing too. I just replaced the alternator and found the leak. So, now it's just finding the new gaskets cause I am not paying $300ish for a new solenoid

Honda doesn't sell just the gasket (bastards 🤬), so you have to buy the whole part to get the OEM gasket.
