In this video we will be replacing the rear brake pads for a 2019 Honda Accord 1.5 turbo. I should have done some thorough research but as you will see in the video a Hex Allen key 7mm is needed which I didn't have at that moment. I thought it was a size 13 or 14 bolt just like any other Acura/Honda and man was I wrong lol. I improvised with an Allen key wrench and some modifications and it still got the job done. Add brake grease on the edges of the brake pads where it slides into the brake shoe.
fyi: I used a c-clamp on the rear driver side pistons because even though it was already fully turned clockwise with the needle nose plier, because the pads were completely gone metal to metal the piston was pushed so far out that a c-clamp was needed to fully be pushed back in. As for the rear passenger side I was able to fully turned/pushed the piston back in fully with no c-clamp needed because the piston wasn't fully pushed out like the rear driver side was.
Tools needed
1- 7 mm Hex Allen key
2- half floor jack pole or plumber's bar
3- brake cleaner
4- brake grease
5- needle nose pliers
6- flat head screw driver
7- c-clamp (if needed)
8- gloves
9- rags
