You’re an angel Ron. I used your timing belt video for my HA4 and I’m about to replace my CV boots on the rear and then the valve cover gasket before winter.

You are welcome. I do these videos with a manual in hand. Check out Smokey Mtn Imports. They will get you a manual with a parts purchase from them. 👍

I noticed some of your vacuum lines are bypassed or appear to be. Any way you could send or Post a little More info on that? Also been looking for info on vac lines but haven’t found any info on it yet.

Great how to video! Did the same on my Suzuki Carry. Only difference is I have a gear on the distributor. Same sealant on the valve cover corners. I have an Acty in transit, and this will be helpful!

Thank you! I strive to try and keep it fun and informational. There are a lot of off camera "doings" that don't make the final cut, so I try to keep the content just right for what is needed. More to come! Good luck with the truck, the hardest part of it all is the WAIT, ugh.

U mention the engine ground on the back 10mm bolt. I just did timing belt and head gasket cover and I didn’t see a ground wire anywhere. Tomorrow when the rain stops I’ll get under truck and look again. Is it possible it’s on another bolt? What are symptoms if it’s not connected? I fired it up after replacing gaskets and seals and doing timing belt and water pump. It fired up and ran fine for the minute or two I ran it.
@rhd_ron2 жыл бұрын
You should have at least two grounds. On the transmission to the body, and valve cover to body. If your truck is starting up then you are fine, but the valve cover grond helps to “arrest” spark and ground to chassis.

Awesome video! I changed the spark plugs on my 96 Acty Attack and found oil on the plug in cylinder #1. Can you please confirm for me the torque on the valve cover bolts. I think I heard 9 ft-lbs but wanted to confirm I get it right. Thanks!
@rhd_ron Жыл бұрын
I believe the value is 8.8 ft-lbs to be exact. Don’t over do it, I snapped one off in the past!

I follow a number of acty channels not one has looked at the E07 group of engines. I would love to see a decent list of all the comparable e07 variations and witch ones "could" mate to an existing trans ext. The honda that's and life had an e07z turbo variation that would be a nice power and fuel/spark update.
@rhd_ron2 жыл бұрын
You aren't kidding. That e07Z has been on my radar for a few month. Thinking about that swap with EFI conversion in my 4WD truck. This will be after the 2WD Akty gets the K24. I'd love a little "boost" in power. Full pun intended.😆

@cpmaverick7 ай бұрын
@@LSM_Lover it should work, it's 1.5 inch and 0.125 thickness, vs 38mm and 3.5mm for the factory O ring. It's also advertised as a distributor seal. I have a pack on order I can confirm when they arrive
