Did you move the shock mounts and weld them back a bit to fit the battery? I’ve noticed all your motorcycles are very unique and you Cannot see any batteries anywhere, which is the best thing ever!

Yes. The sub-frame has been completely removed. You can make a battery carriage where the center stand used to be, and if you have a kick-start model, you can use a smaller security type battery with a Joe Hunt capacitor.

Cool Monkey MC did you have to remanufacture the frame or did you just delete the sides? Seems like the sides are none existent anymore and the motors attached differently. These motorcycles are seriously something else, completely genius!

Normally don't like hacked up bikes at all. I hate the thought of cutting up a perfectly fine old bike, but this thing is is the coolest thing ever

How much does a bad ass bike like that sell for?
@coolmonkeymc82685 жыл бұрын
I believe that one went for $3,700.

Is that made from a CM400?
@coolmonkeymc82685 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is correct. If you can find the early ones with the kick start and the CM450A had the kick start, those are the ones to get. They have a pulser coil for the igniter, and you can run a Joe Hunt capacitor instead of a battery. I did not do that with this one, but it is an option.

I have one. It's a 1980, but it has the electric start and no kick start.

as spectacular as some of your builds like this one are, ironically they aren't really Cafe's or Bobber's, they are kinda a mixture of both, maybe you should start calling you builds like this Cobber's or better yet "Cabobber's"...just a thought....
@coolmonkeymc82685 жыл бұрын
You are wise for your generation. I've had that mentioned before, and I think it's true. What did they call those toys the kids played with? I think they were Transformers. Really, just change the handlebars or a couple little things and you'd have a different bike.

I have an idea for a bike similar to this how do i get you guys to build a bike for me?

Thank you very much for the interest, but I think I'm getting too old for that. Just going my own pace lately.
