I had this bike - kind of miss it - it was fun. Great actually. Good power, handling, good sound, awesome engine. Perfectly reliable. Good looks too. Why did I sell it? man…

Would you recommend it as a first bIke?

@@double_diffuser yes and no - yes because it is small, light, low seat height and easy to control. No because it is too exciting high up in the rev range and so might make you want to go real fast, at least it did for me. The sound it makes at 8k revs and up is much more fun than lower down at cruising revs, but high speeds are not where you want to learn. So you’ll need to exercise some self control if you pick this as your first bike. If you can do that and stay in the lower revs for a while the bike can be manageable for new riders. But the temptation is always there to open it up and pass cars because you can. So yes and no. An ideal first bike, and forever bike actually, is one that is satisfying and thrilling to ride slow - like a big twin, which is maybe why so many people buy Harleys.

@@double_diffuserI have owned this bike for 5 years. It is very much a race bike underneath it’s tame looks. I am looking for something more relaxed and torquey now. It is a very good beginner bike if you stay out of the higher rpms, but you won’t want to.
