This video really ran through all the details and specifics. The video skips are unnecessary and we missed important steps like how to route the stator cord and fit it into the cap. It seems simple but for 101 it shouldnt be skipped over

Isn't the rotor supposed to be torqued down when you re-install it? Is there a way to tighten it down if the engine is out of the frame? Will you damage the transmission at all by placing the engine in gear to tighten the rotor?
@Rmstatorinc5 жыл бұрын
Yes, the rotor bolt will need to be tightened up to draw the rotor onto the taper of the crankshaft. With the engine out of the frame you can just use an impact gun, it should tighten it up without the motor spinning much. You could also put it in gear and lock up the sprocket somehow.

Bought a new battery and installed on a 81 Rs650. Just bought the bike. It sat overnight after a ride back home and now it wont start today. My thoughts were the battery had died but the battery still showed fairly high in the charged range. Any idea why it wont turn over from loss of power if my battery is good?

I put a new rotor in my CB900C and getting 13.2 max at high rpm. My stator might be bad when at higher temperatures but seems to check out ok with ohms. I’m getting high resistance thru brushes but when I clean them resistance is improved. Do the stators come with new brushes

@Rmstatorinc4 жыл бұрын
Yes, depending on make, they can be called alternator, generator, magneto in the OEM parts manuals. An 81 CB650F uses the parts in our video, which are technically a stator, field coil rotor, voltage regulator.

No, the regulation point is generally around 14.6VDC. You need a good functioning stator, field coil rotor, and regulator to achieve this on the Honda CB's.
