I want it, I really want it, I love it. Should I get it? Should I?

There is alot to be said for old school motorcycle. . Most of the bikes I've owned in my life have been the big naked machines from the 70's to the 90's ...bikes like the z400j...cb750 k2. ...cb400 fours. ...Gs 550's ...Gs 850...cbx550.....xj600 ...xj650....gpz 1100b1 and b2.....1100lawson replica...etc etc....all of which have a special place in my heart... I've seen this particular model in our local honda dealers and it's a very nice proper retro machine with a classic old school inline four engine retuned for classic touring and long distance enjoyment. ... A lively straight forward motorcycle. ... Good vid mate.........subbed!

Very sad we don't get them in Australia. It would be perfect for our big country. Love a Big Bike!

It definitely looks like a fun bike to ride and has that old school look. If you can afford it, buy it! :) Ride safe!

+vac0002 Some people said that this bike doesn't like to corner, I think even Cager said it, but for what I felt, I loved cornering. And I didn't realize how fast it got to 100+kph. The standard model doesn't look as good as the EX, luckily they don't sell standard here any more.

The retro look I love it too.

Nice video. I quite concur, the CB1100 is a phenomenal modern day retro bike. To use your adjectives, it's an absolutely beautiful, PERFECT machine. Plus, lucky you since the HONDA dealer there sells the "EX" model in black, not available in the U.S. BRAVO!!!

If I had the money, its no-brainer, I would get one :) Thanks for watching :)

Looked like a lovely day for the Test Ride !!! & You can't go wrong with a Honda, Hope it works out for your choice ;) "Awesome" ending too, lol !!!
@iSlanderEST8 жыл бұрын
+Dracati Ducati Yep, it was a good day. I wish it was so nice right now. I think I will always choose Honda, because I always get good deals from them. This "awesome" video was recorded when KTM 690 Duke run out of fuel turning the test-ride. Thanks for watching :)

I would not say it has a lot of power. 90hp isnt't enough to say 'lots of power' especially for a 260kg motorcycle. However for me its more than enough and I think in general you dont need more unless you wanna race...and this is not made to race so, I do not mind :) And I agree with everything else you stated, I am the proud owner of one since last december, its a dream come true! The torque however is significant and a lot more usefull...
@iSlanderEST8 жыл бұрын
+Erikootje Yep, torque is really good and its always there, that's why the bike feels so "powerful". Congrats! I loved riding that machine and few weeks later, when I visited dealer to get my bike service done, I asked if I could borrow the bike one more time. They didn't want to allow me, because it was raining and a movie crew asked that bike to be in their movie.

I bought one 2 months ago, but it just sits under a cover in my garage, I thought I'd use it more, but I keep jumping on my Vespa GTS300 all the time as the scoot is so easy and convenient, thinking of selling the CB so someone else can really enjoy it more, but I do love how she rides and looks though. Nice review!
@iSlanderEST8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I really loved riding that bike :) But I agree with you, sell it if you don't ride, so someone can enjoy it more :)

Did you ride this after ordering your Africa Twin? If so, did you wish you had bought this instead?
@iSlanderEST8 жыл бұрын
+Len Scapoff I rode this in May 2015 and ordered Africa Twin in August. I decided to get Twin because I like exploring and touring. I really love CB1100, its one of the best bikes I've ridden, but its not for me. If I were to ride only in city and occasionally highway, then it would've made sense to get one. It looks amazing, it feels amazing, but luggage would look hideous on it. If I would have the money and I could get more than one bike, CB1100 is on top of my list.

If Honda Australia bothered to promote this model when they were available, they would have sold well. Brilliant bike!
@iSlanderEST8 жыл бұрын
+robcig I agree. Luckily Honda has a new boss, he might pressure for more promotions too. The other one didn't bother at all. This bike is really good.

The best thing about this bike is that it sounds like the 750 four k0 that it pays homage to.

yes it does. I actually thought about buying it, but then decided to go "adventure". I loved how the bike sounded, felt and looks.

Damn it! I SO want to test ride that bike. My local dealer doesn't have any in stock and just told me that he wasn't sure if there were going to be an 2016 models. What?! He said if they do bring one to the U.S. this year, it would be late in the year. But I absolutely love the retro styling of that motorcycle. Beautiful beautiful beautiful.
@iSlanderEST8 жыл бұрын
+SoopaBee I'm pretty sure Honda doesn't cancel that bike so soon, because Honda has a new CEO who loves motorcycles :) I would buy that bike in a heartbeat!
@SoopaBee8 жыл бұрын
iSlander I sure hope not...that said, I couldn't find any new model years on the U.S. Honda website :-(
@iSlanderEST8 жыл бұрын
SoopaBee Its still listed here, but so is Fury, but they stopped selling Fury here, some dealers still have it in stock however
@robertbrandywine7 жыл бұрын
Hi SoopaBee - dealers still have new 2014 Standards in stock at hugely discounted prices. Honda misjudged the market and produced too many Standards and not enough Deluxes.
