I'll be referring to this video along with a few others to help me get an idea of what I'm in for. A complete barn find in surprisingly good condition along with an engine that at least turns.. 74 CB350FOUR

Beautifully done sir. Hoping to tear into my 350f this winter.

How did it go? I have mine tore apart and one of the pistons was rusted in cylinder 1. Got it apart and start cleaning today.

Beautiful work sir. That motor is closer to a Swiss watch than an ICE. The Cb350F Was my gateway street bike in ‘83 and I went on to own many, many more. Only one is left in my garage today and you can guess which one it is.

Do you work on cb750. I have a 1976 SHOC in good shape, building a stock restoration but wold like to have a sleeper motor. Nice Job and your skill and attention to detail shows. Thanks , Mike in Florida

How much would it cost to ship mine to you and have you rebuild it, I got one passed down to me from my great grandfather who passed away and want it restored perfectly

I no longer work as a mechanic for hire, but this exact engine, now with proper finish on the side covers, is for sale for $2500 with restored carbs.

hi im just rebuilding my race rep honda 350/4. i saw on your video you had valve stem seals on the inlet and exhaust valve guides. did you put different valve guides in or put the seals over the original guides . cheers martin
@stanlipert85132 жыл бұрын
The guides were good, just replaced the valve stem seals.

I’d like to do the same but need a 4 piston set. Do you know if I can use any 49mm Honda piston set to replace the original pistons?

Pistons must be made for the CB350F

Were those faster than the CB 350 2 cylinder?
@Daschickenify Жыл бұрын
Other way around, the two cylinder was faster.

This is a motorcycle engine that was made in the early 1970’s. So…. Yes. Carbs.

Awful amount of reving a un broke in engine. Made me cringe.. other than that 👍🏻👍🏻
@stanlipert8513 Жыл бұрын
Most, if not all, production motorcycles are dyno run at the end of the production line, to verify power output. If the engine is at operating temperature, it can be revved up. The load at certain RPMs will vary to the particular engine.

@@stanlipert8513 it’s about ware on the cylinder walls. You are lapping in a cylinder. Modern engines a lot of times have chromed cylinder walls. Then it dose not matter. But for older 4cycle engines it’s not recommended to rev a engine that has not seen 2 heat cycles. I build racing engines. 4 stroke and 2 stroke. I build some for all out power. And others for endurance.. the break in process on a endurance engine is slow.. but on one for all our power is a few heat cycles and go..
