hey, to what torque did you tighten the screws in the cb500x? Regards.

I will try it. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I am planning to put as well some rubber washers. What do you think?

Just fixed the upper bars to my 22 model as explained in this video. They seem pretty good and no extra vibrations at city speeds i.e 80kmph. At higher speeds the bike vibrates anyway so I am not sure if it increased. What I have noticed is that Givi have now included rubber washers and a spacer . These were not previously included for the 19+ model from what I can see from older installation instructions. Possibly this also helps with the vibrations.

If this works, great. I'd be curious if someone can explain why it'd work? What does running the engine a bit do? Why front to back and not back to front?

Thank you for this vid! Can I just clarify if the bolts are only loosened and not totally removed before running it up on idle? Thank you!

Thanks for the video.. I do experience the same vibration issue after installing crashbar in my 22 CB500X.. (my previous 2018 CB500X didn't have this issue actually).. Will try what you did hopefully it will cure the vibration..

Just seen this video. I have fitted SWmotech engine protection bars to my 2020 CB500X.I do quite a bit of motorway riding at 70mph can't say the bike vibrates any more than without the bars.FWIW I've also fitted a 16tooth engine sprocket which lowers the revs by about 400rpm and also helps riding at higher speeds but doesn't affect performance at slower speeds on A,B and C roads.

I'm planning on ordering HEED bars for my 2023 CB500X, is there any decent way to put auxillary lights on them? Price wise HEED bars seem a good deal @ultimatevideo

Hi! Interesting. Is there something special about it being on a block? I could just use the center stand, couldn't I?

You need the jack otherwise loosen these bolts will sag your engine down.

Saludos desde Perú. A qué se refiere cuando dice en la parte final del vídeo que hay que apretar los tornillos desde la parte delantera hacia la parte de atrás? Fue lo que no pude entender. Saludos y espero poder entender su respuestas, muchas gracias

I just fitted my new Cb500x with Heed crash bars. When I started the bike up the first time I thought I ruined it but when the engine warms up it seems that it vibrates much less. I still have to test it out at speed but will do what is suggested in this video if I see that the vibrations are that bad.

After performing the fix, would you say your bike is back to how smooth it was before installing the crash bars? Some people say the CB500x has vibrations without any crash bars installed. Did this fix correct the stock vibrations you felt? Also, wht kind of paddock stands work well for the CB500x?
@workinspirationtest2 жыл бұрын
It put mine back to how it was before any bars were fitted. I just use cheapo universal paddock stands. Never fitted bobbins which make things easier.
@jpa208 Жыл бұрын
@@workinspirationtest why did you remove the bars? Did you not like them?
@helmethair4880 Жыл бұрын
@@jpa208 I don't think he removed the bars. He is saying doing this process has taken out the vibrations to the point it feels like it did before fitting the bars.

Even without crash bars Cb500X definitely has a lot of vibrations after 5000rpm/above 62mph. Mine is new, stock, no crash bars. Hands feel like buzzing after longer ride.

I have a 2023 cb500x I only ridden it back home before fitting full outback motortek package including skidplate. The bike now feels horrible. No where near as smooth as the 2017 cb500f I had. I have found the tightening sequence in the service manual. It is not how you say from front to back however. It does confirm having all bolts loose with a jack/support under the engine. Although the sequence in the manual is based on just basic engine installation without any bars fitted.

Any idea why the crash bars cause the vibration?

I have the same problem Antil know I have this problem
@SHT50292 жыл бұрын
Because you use givi bolts, I used the bike bolts. And only a big bolt from givi. And they are ok. With the givi bolts you can't torque them to the corect torque. You will ruin them, especially the front ones.
@hazmrhman2 жыл бұрын
@@SHT5029 can you explain it more or send utube which explain it more pleas Andrei, I have serios vibration
@SHT50292 жыл бұрын
@@hazmrhman it is simple. If you take the full givi bars, you can use 4 of the original bolts. The long one that uses a nut, it will be from givi ( i think is nr 1 or 2 in the sequence of bolts torque. The ones from givi that are in the front of the bike are very pour bolts, You can't even torque them to the correct Nm, because the head will strip. So in the end I used the original ones, torqued to 45Nm. The only original bolts that I have changed, are the ones under the tank/seat. In the book they must be torque to 60Nm, but the original ones got a little bit longer and thinner, soo, in the end I changed them with other original bolts and torqued them to 45Nm instead of 60Nm. You can keep the sequence of torqueing like in the video. I still have some vibrations, but Aren't bad at all. Don't forget to put a jack under the engine before you take out the bolts, it will move in the frame and the holes won't be align anymore. I don't no why it does that, because it shouldn't, but it does.
@workinspirationtest2 жыл бұрын
It's just the way those engine bolts are I think. Honda improved them for the 22 model but I have heard that although better, it is still susceptible to vibrations.
