I'm here for the accent ;)... actually waited weeks for my skidplate and plan on putting it on this week after I get my bark-busters sorted (not as straightforward as one might think). We have had a 6 month long winter her in northern Wisconsin USA and stil have average of 2' of snow on the ground, motorways with tons of brine/salt and divots in the asphalt (potholes). City streets need to be patched (highways are ok), and rains need to wash the salts. I've got 4 miles on my bike, none by me. Cheers!

thanks for your video my concerns with the SW-Motech system - is that the shocks go directly to the engine case and this could break. That is what I hear in the forums and reviews. Great job and looks nice. Can you get to the oil sump plug easily for an oil change or do you have to take the guard/plate off? I know with the Rally-Raid guard it has to be removed to do the oil change. Many thanks.
@thecampingbiker7914 жыл бұрын
No need to remove this one, easily accessed for oil change...but RR is heavier duty...I believe you just have to loosen front bolts on the RR and remove back bolt which goes through centre stand housing, then it tilts down for oil change....anyhow I should be able to confirm this shortly 😂 😂

Hi, did you manage to change the oil with the guard fitted? I don’t think I would want to take the skidplate off every time I changed the oil!! All the best, John
@thecampingbiker7914 жыл бұрын
Hi John, it’s designed with a heavy duty pin/bar (goes through the centre stand fitting) with single bolt to extract it, then designed to hinge down at rear allowing access. For the filter at front, just needs 3 bolts loosened and the aluminium plate lifts of. Nice and simple, Honda did my last service and mechanic commented how straightforward for an engine guard! 👍🏻
