120km in second gear-that's insane! I really like this bike and am considering it as my next bike. Right now I have the CB500F and I am very happy with it but it is a much more timid machine than this, with it's steady parallel twin engine, by all means ample, but never threateningly fast. But you know how it is with bikes-you are always looking for the next one. This could well be mine, although I'm a little frightened now that it might be too fast and dangerous. I suppose that depends on how I ride it. Do you think it would be good for touring with panniers because that's something I like to do-heading away for weekend trips with a tent and stuff. I'd also like to have a bike that offers the possibility of touring. Thank you for a great review.

@@dopamine814 If am permitted to share thoughts, it's an amazing machine! On paper she misses many things, but in flesh, she has many more advantages.. I've been riding her for more than 5K+ and using as my daily driver.. Getting 35-36 kmpl in city and 40-43kmpl on highways(with avg speed of 100-110)

I think the 600cc bikes are best for our Indian roads. The torque and power provided by these segment bikes is enough, but some people want 1000cc bikes to have a unique stand out in the crowd, unable to reveal it's true limits.

True, we are living in 1.4 billion peoples country and roads are always jammed with traffic so at any cost you can't ride this bikes with 200+ kmph speed. Even on highway people barely follows any rules and it's too much risky to take the bike at its full potential. So 600 cc is the best segment you can have in sports catagory at least.

Choose honda always..one time investment lifetime happiness...even you can't do 299 on naked bikes so on naked bikes 150 is limit speed ..so go for honda cb650r anyday more refined engine.. Kawasaki don't treat their customer good

Thanks Akshat!! I chose Honda, not the 650 but the 500x. Used to ride a Ninja 650 about 9 years ago, never faced any issues either with the bike or the service. And I don’t ride beyond 100.

there is some vibration on the footpeg but nothing disturbing. I once rode it for 500 miles stopping twice and i did not feel any numbness at all. I am 175 cm tall 65 kg and it is perfect ergonomically. I can easily filter in the traffic. Awesome bike

The Honda is faster and has more features. The Z650 is cheaper and has good enough performance for Indian roads but the exhaust note is nothing special while the Honda has a beautiful exhaust note

Now the on road prices of for both CB650R and Z900 in Bangalore is almost same or a slim difference. Only for the sake of uniqueness and Honda quality, I would go for it. Z900 is the king of all mid segment in this price range with Kawasaki quality. Topi line speed: both CB650R and Z900 would be almost same!
