The very first thing that most modern motorcycles lack is a functioning front mudguard that actually "stops mud" so some kind of fender extender is a must for me as a starting point for any mods. While the rad guard will keep small rocks at bay it won't stop the road crud getting inside that rad and everywhere else up front.

I like the way Honda fitted a licence plate hugger on CB1000R to tidy up the back, either that or it's the usual plank hanging off the back!

Unless you are regularly riding in cold weather, I can never see the point of screens. I had a B-King for 7 years and had no screen. Crash bobbins can twist the frame, although I suppose that would be in a big off which would probably finish the bike, anyway. Radiator cover is a good idea. Sounds good. Nice colour. Useful storage space under the rear seat. Good idea to dump the tail tidy. They are a waste of time.

Crash bobbins are sometimes essential my bike has a dry sump meaning oil tanks on the side of the bike crack one of those bad boys in a drop game over.

I’ve got a rear hugger extender from pyramid plastics on my CBR650R and a tail tidy and just that little bit of extra on the rear hugger solves the spray issue.

The PUIG screen is worth the price. I just came back from a 200 km weekend trip (after quarantine). I went up to 209 kmph, fulled tucked and it was fine. without the windscreen, helmet will keep getting wind fatique, get headaches after an hour of riding Evotech radiator guard will look great on yours Had gel seat installed on my stock seats. Now I can ride for hours without numbing my butt compared to stock seats that only provides 45 minutes of comfort Quick-shifter, bought from Honda dealership at the time of purchase, never a problem Had local made engine guard "Motozaaa" local brand. can put my feet there as "Highway-pegs" while cruising on highway or chilling around town this 650 is all we ever need

I moved the footrests down 20 mm which makes the seating position better and not so pointy bum. More comfy for the rear end and more comfy for my knees. What could possibly be better than this bike?

You should seriously check out the puig semi fairing for this bike. I put it on mine and it looks sooooo nice, I paint matched mine and it really gives it a retro racer look and still gives “decent” wind protection. Worth everything I spent

I heard Bagster seats with gel inserts are superior to the OEM ones. They have tons of modifications as well. Ordered one myself, we'll see how it goes.

That ungainly cantilevered plastic mudguard thing carrying the number plate solves the problem of modern bikes with their arses in air and no tail end. The short front mudguard seems perfectly designed to throw road crap into the oversized radiator. Bike does sound good though.

Does your windscreen begin tipping back towards you/lifting at high speeds? Just curious if i’m the only one with the windscreen that has that problem. Could be because it was never designed to do American highway speeds. Anything over 65-70mph and it starts to tilt back towards me and not really do a whole lot. I had to resort to some jerry-rigging with the zipties to keep it from happening, however now I’ve had to fix a new problem - windshield and headlight bezel vibrating enough to wear on each other.

Would you recommend it? I'm looking to upgrade from my Duke 390 and a 650 seems like the perfect stepping stone. I have always loved the CB650R. It looks fantastic and the smooth hum of that inline 4 at idle. Dreamy!

Yeah absolutely. A good upgrade path in my opinion as the 650 is very smooth and quite docile low down, but has a lively top end.

I actually sold this in April 2021 and replaced it with the Tiger 850 Sport. Now of course I have the SV in the stable to itch that naked scratch! No regrets at all.

You videos got me into buying the SC-Project SC1-M. Really great sounding exhaust and surprisingly loud for a EURO4 road legal system. To be honest, I'm a little bit afraid it might be louder than it should be, police here in germany is quite strict on loud exhausts, I've made a short video where you can hear it in action on my channel. One question though: Why didn't you use the original honda quickshifter?

Awesome, glad you bought that exhaust. I think side mounted exhausts still look cool and this one sounds great and is legal! I was orginially going to buy the Honda OEM quickshifter but after riding a few demo bikes I found it had a very pronounced delay between shifts that you can't tune. The Healtech one is miles better but slightly harder to fit. But there's instructions on their website and I fit it with no issues.

RH08 and 02 just refer to the restricted or unrestricted version (A2 or full basically) so it doesn't matter which on you choose, it's the same bike. If I remember correctly RH08 is the A2 version of it

Doesn't the windshield cause too much turbulence/noise around the helmet? I've tried some touring models and it happens always. That's one of my concerns about installing one on my naked one.

I found it made things a bit noisier but helped reduce wind blast and very little buffeting. Depends on your height too.
