Ive just bought a 95 model in pristine condition. Absolutely awsome to ride. Great brakes. Only 30k miles but that maybe fiddled. Very happy with it and looking to keep forever and keep in tip top condition. Classic in the making.

My dad just brought an 98 model for me to buy off him when I get my A licence I'm only on a previsional at the moment riding a 125 but I love the bike and it brings my dad some nostalgia from when he was younger but, im looking forward to buying it off him

I've had a 97 rrv for 18 years. Used it to commute years ago in all weathers. Now cleaned up and use just for fun. It is part of the family.

Second time I've watched this review having wandered here trying to find [ex] VFR riders. Impressed again how you can talk so well for so long without cutting bits out every few seconds. You come across well - like a decent bloke. Cheers, Lee.

I also like the older shape street bikes... The 1st ( 92-93 ) generation Blade was a very robust bike, it could throw you off like a wild horse very quickly if you didn't know your stuff...

Love the old bikes. Just something about old school.

Just bought a 1999, I haven’t yet ridden it but with 30klms on the clock and bland new tyres, should be a blast. Nice review mate

I was looking at a 1997 locally for sale, one issue i have w all hondas ive owned, is that oem plastics are incredibly hard to find, or just not available. I restore bikes and its a shame to see such nice bikes in need of repair
@woooster173 жыл бұрын
Nice review.. I am restoring to as close to new an ‘99 SC33/RRX.. bought some mint replacement plastics and oe Honda bar grips. It’s the little things that make the difference. Just after an clean/undamaged oe end can now.. a little harder to find. ;)

I just stumbled upon your channel and I quite like you. Your into the same sort of bikes I am and as an American the fact you like trucks isn't a bad thing

I’ve just bought a 97 Repsol design Fireblade. I love it. Cheap as chips for what you get. Definitely a classic in the making. I see you’re from Leeds, so I’ll look out for your bike, if you’re ever at Sherburn Cafe!

I have a 96 blade in the tri colours. it's only done 16k and it's one of the best bikes i've owned, great fun to ride with plenty of room, ( i'm 6'1 ) loads of power ( 126bhp ) and it gets lots of comments off other bikers and prices are on the rise. If you get the chance buy one do it.

Colin Chapman I'm getting into street bikes (I've ridden dirt bikes and my brothers street bike and know how to drive and respect a bike) and I have a chance of getting a 1998 cbr 919 fire blade. This would be my first bike and It will only be used for street riding. For $2500 I could get it, what do you or anyone think?
@happychappers83117 жыл бұрын
drake dunn As i said there a good bike, just make sure it's been looked after as there getting on a bit now. It's not a problem getting any bike as a "first bike" as long as your sensible. Remember a bike is only as fast as your wrist.

Interesting video but as a 1999 5th Gen VFR800 owner (fantastic machine imo) I'm still not sure why you prefer the Blade (other than maybe the looks). Could you let me know? :)

Great video. I've bought one myself and can't wait to get out on it riding again :D

I love the old school too. But I'm in doubt between the 900RR 96-99 or the 954. Of course the 954 sounds more powerful on paper and lighter ... and here in Brazil their prices are close ... Considering I've already had a 2007 600RR, I think the 900RR will be heavy ... and I really do sound like a Honda fan and light weight on a motorcycle ... I like to make turns ... With your experience, what do you think is the best motorcycle package? 900 or 954? Usage is weekend ... fast walks! Thanks in advance.

Informative review. Im getting back on 2 wheeles after 20yrs. Last bike was a 92 zx7. Considering a 98 Fireblade. Question? What should I keep sn eye out for when inspecting the bike?
@carlsant18 жыл бұрын
erm to be fair there's nothing specific. just general stuff really. make sure it's all good only issue with older hondas is the regulator and rectifier. if this has been replaced then you should be fine with it. obviously stuff like rust and extra play in the swing arm and headstock can be an issue if it's seen a lot of miles. let me know how you get on, would love to see what you end up getting. thanks for watching and commenting!

In all the motorcycles reviews that I have watched, not once have I seen a side profile with rider on the bike to get an idea of the ergonomics of the model. Isn't this a very basic thing!

The way you ride you would be better off going back to the CG 125
