I had the pleasure of riding on a 99 900rr as my first bike. I later moved onto a gen 2 hayabusa which i had for 11 years. The hayabusa was more refined and faster but i must admit the 900rr was more fun to ride. better sensation of speed and felt like it had more character

I have an ‘03 954RR and I honestly cannot see myself wanting anything else. I’m a sucker for the Tri-clops headlights and the slick tail setup. It’s also the lightest FireBlade model they’ve ever made so power wheelies are pretty much mandatory. I’ve lost count of how many people have offered to buy it from me, and So I refer them to Rick Astley

Great video. First one of yours I’ve seen and it’s clear (without you having to say it) how much fun you’re having (I’ll ignore your comments about the colour!) This was my first big bike after I stepped up from my CB500. I’d only had my full licence for six months when I bought it. Got it for £1,800 with 10k on the clock. Mint condition. Took me another six months to find the bottle to ride it. Surprised at how easy it was. Respected it. Knew how much power it had but was also surprised at how easy it was to ride and how forgiving it was (17” front). Thanks for a great and fun review. Love this bike. I still have it.

It's just a taste of the 90's 🥰 I'm on my third sc33 in 20 years and I'm already sad for the day I inevitably sell it (soon, to get a bigger bike), Had a bunch of Kwaks over the years but I never really cared too much when I sold any of 'em, but these are little lairy bits of history & I'll defo have another for the living room and the odd weekend out at some point .... in the urban tiger paint scheme 🫠

old blades are amazing, i feel they lost their appeal after the 3rd generation but im lucky enough to own a 92` twin tractor eyed blade in the blue/red to orange sticker set and though shes 28 years old and not in mint condition (but still nice) she still feels amazing to ride. she can be a bit lazy at slow speeds but when i hit the motorways or carriageways she still screams

I bought a used ktm super duke from Doble last year with 18000 miles on the clock. It lasted for 2000 miles and just out of the warranty period before the engine broke. Took it to Inmoto ktm in Croydon and they wanted £2000 just to take the engine out of frame! Probably just unlucky but I will never buy a used bike from Doble again or in fact a Ktm.

I like the idea of you reviewing some S/H bikes. Doesn't need to be anything exotic. Anything really, from S/H scooters to S/H superbikes, and all the workaday stuff in between. Keep it up. BTW, booked my offroad course at ' Off The Kerb ' Dorking for a couple of weeks time. Won't be long until I'm chasing you down the green lanes. Mind you, as of now, I have, absolutely, no experience with that. I foresee a few drops in the near future ( for me, that is )

I've done that offroad course now, so I reckon I'm an expert - in falling off anyway. Had a great day.I've got an RE Himalayan which, as of today, has got newly fitted engine/leg guards, ready for me to start doing a few lanes - and a few drops.

@Ashitaka0815
@Ashitaka0815 Жыл бұрын
Um the 600 (PC31) was about 210 kg wet and ready to ride with a full gas tank. The SC33 blade was actually slightly lighter at around 205 kg wet and ready, building a bike as powerful as a 1000 but as light as a 600 was the goal to begin with, after all. Of course a few generations later the lightweight technology dropped to the 600's as well and made them lighter again, but at the time the early blades was just as flick able as the 600's of it's day. However, thanks to the wider tires, it might need a bit more effort to push it into a corner compared to a 600 with similar weight but skinnier tires, I'll give you that!
@MrAndrew1953
@MrAndrew1953 Жыл бұрын
@@Ashitaka0815 I just always felt the 600 had all the power I’d ever need. The Fireblade for me was complete overkill unless you were using it as a club-racer come track bike. I also found the extra bulk of the 900 off-putting. Around town or weekend day rides, the 600 hit the sweet spot. It was as quick out of the crate as my Kawasaki GPZ1100 B2 (fuel injected)@ 240kmh in a straight line and handled a lot better through the bends.

Hi Mr F, I find your reviews to be pretty good. You didn't mention the price so I looked it up and Dobles are asking £3,699. Has had four owners and done about 25,000 miles which is quite low for its age. Looks in pretty good nick. Incidentally a new 'Blade, the 2019 CB1000RR, is listed at £1 under £16,000.

I never get this speed and age fixation. Why not just appreciate things for what they are? It's like buying a Mclaren F1 only thinking it's old and slow. Yes, it is 23 years, so what? Yes, a modern Blade delivers 180hp, so what? 180hp Blade is still old and slow compared to the newest RR-R, delivering 192. And that's still slow compared to H2. Which in turn is slow compared to H2R and any turbo'd comparable regardless of make and model. If you really buy this bike, you don't care how old it is, or what is faster. You buy it because new bikes aren't the same. That is, if you can choose freely.
