Thank u so much for bringing 5th gen city review❤. I own city 5th gen ZX MT petrol , as u said it surprised me in terms of mileage. I frequently used to travel from Calicut to Bangalore with 3 passengers. It still manged to give 17-18km/l including wayanad ghats😍. The manual transmission is rev happy and its so much fun to drive😎. Its 15000 km now, a Happy customer.

Gen 3 City been a daily driver 2009-2018. Sparingly used since then as I moved out of country. At 90,000km, still on almost all parts which came from company back in 2009 including mud flaps. Absolutely reliable car. Just one breakdown so far. Due to a dead battery which I was too lazy to get replaced even after the car gave a warning once. Never regretted the decision buying it.

HONDA has always been my all time favourite brand. My love for Honda started with the sixth generation Honda ACCORD during my Dubai days which I thoroughly enjoyed for close to 4 years. Once I reached back India after my assignment in Dubai, the first car I purchased was the i-DSI Honda CITY - SEBRING SILVER. I did retrofit it with a Kenwood double din stereo system and added AURA alloys. It never felt underpowered and the ultra light steering was a surprise to me. The rear seats were supremely comfortable and even to this day I personally feel those were the best rear seats Honda has provided in a City so far.

My first car was a 8th gen Accord k24 4cyc then I got a 6th gen Camry 2GR-FE for its V6 but I wasn't happy with the car even though it was really fast then when I was looking for my 3rd car, I instantly got into a 9th Gen Accord with J35 V6 and couldn't be happier now I can't even find a good replacement for my Accord. Honda clearly know how to keep their customers happy and makes them come back to themselves. I know lot of people who only got Honda's in their lifetime. Honda have such a cult following around the world.

We too have city 5th gen cvt at home, and as you guys said I was amazed with the fuel efficiency the car gives, took for a long trip to Bangalore up and down from palakkad, and the car gave 17.5 kmpl average for above 1000km trip that included 100-120 kmph cruising and some distance in Bangalore traffic and was able to push beyond 160 2,3 times. Being used to diesel engines for a long time, the refinement of a petrol engine felt exceptional that too while owning a GLE 250d and the city was never felt pricy at 17.2 laks on road and we never felt coming down many segments from gle. The only letdown of the car as u said is the CVT transmission, it is excellent while cruising but feels like hell for sudden overtakes, that said u feel very comfortable if you drive it gently and we feel thr ride quality is better than suvs 2 segment above

Have covered 91,000 kms till now... with whopping avg all over mileage of 22-23 in daily usage, which gives me around 25 avg all the time for long drives.. have got 28kms multiple times in kochi - calicut trips. Extremely happy proud owner, no maintenance works apart from periodical services till now... extremely satisfied with diesel engine even though i have driven iVTEC manual and cvt... the only missing i feel is a automatic transmission in traffic... and am pretty much interested to upgrade to 5th Gen iDTEC again if CVT is launched.

What I have understood is to never go full on throttle at once, if you do that, the revs go high instantly but the car doesnt accelerate much. Instead when you want to accelerate just apply only 30-50% throttle at first then wait for 3-5 seconds then gradually make it full throttle, this way I felt that the CVT is able to put more power without much drama.
