Honda civic si engine removal part 1 Intake, battery, ecu ... Process is for all 2006-2011 8th gen civic si's, fg2's, fa5's. Made some good progress, removed a lot of wiring, intake box/resonator, battery, tray, shift linkeage, etc. Part 2 coming soon, you'll see how to drain the fluids. Enjoy.

FYI...Pull the retaining clips off of the shift cables to get to the bolts easier next time. Grab the upper-facing lip and pull upward. Then twist the cables, separately about a quarter to half of a turn, then slide the cable upward to release it from the bracket.

This is what all of us 8th gen owners needed! There no videos, like no videos on how to pull out a Kseries out of a 8th gen. And when there is they skip every step and it’s hella annoying. Keep it up gerb!

Awesome stuff brother.. Been following you on the Insta, and Im looking forward to the install as well. You'll be seeing some action on my IG pretty soon too so stay posted! You should really upgrade your clutch and your clutch/master cylinders(Exedy Em2 Kit) if possible while you have the motor and trans pulled. Stage 1 Exedy would be good up to about 350whp on a stock K24. If you have extra money, the Fx300 would obviously be the best you can get and retain stock feel. But stock Clutch will hold for a bit as long as it is still in good condition and you arent launching and beating on it super hard.

I am so anxious bro, you have no idea lol. I am upgrading to a new clutch for sure, but I am stuck between exedy oem or stage 1. I will be running an oem flywheel with either kit though. Decisions, decisions... new slave, cmc, etc too. My question is what are the stock clutch torque clutch specs. I should be at least 180tq and I know stage 1 is rated for 193 or so.... I feel like the exedy oem would outlast everything though...
