Informative and good entertainment Rod! Nice to see the hub come back from such heavy corrosion. Would you not attempt a wheel build yourself?

Hi Keith. Wheel building is a real specialism of perhaps the most critical safety component on a bike, with fewer and fewer of the old guys still around to do it. I keep hoping I can one day persuade my own builder to show me how but in the meantime I couldn't possibly sell any bike that I'd cobbled a wheel together for. I'd never sleep. Better to just pay the man for his skills and know I have a product I can stand behind with conscience. I'll have the wheels back tomorrow I hope so will post a vid on progress after that. Its making a really nice bike. :0)

The word for those bits the balls work in is ramps. As you'd expect the clutch is the same as the 250 so we used to sell a lot of those triangular ball retaining things back in the day.

Hey Rod how goes it? I was holding my breath on those fork leg nuts on that front axle, they were nasty looking, but good job no breakage. The hubs look real nice after the clean up. Thanks for the video, and noticed you remembered the flapper wheel, glad you didn't have to use it on those hubs that would have been a lot of work. Waiting to see how it turns out. Thanks again for the video.

Yeah...I probably shoulda put a little heat on them after the first warning but seem to have got away with it. Phew! "Flapper wheel" will always be part of my lexicon now Jack....I'm disciple for you in the UK ..spreading the Prestwood Word....They'll all be using it before we're finished! Thanks for your support.

Hi there. lt's the same one as I posted about a couple of weeks ago...the one where I polished the tank and panels. We went away for my wife's birthday ..and then it was our neice's party..6 years old so not negotiable for my wife .. so bikes stuff had to go on the back burner for a few days. You gotta do it now and again. Thanks for watching. Where are you based by the way?
