I find it strange that the coolant is transparent blue. Other Prestone coolants are totally green.

There are actually other colors of coolant/antifreeze also available the market. Green is common. Honda uses blue, i believe Toyota uses pink... Orange is also available. Common Honda uses blue. I used to use prestone green after my warranty period and never had issue. Since prestone asian blue is now available, i begin to use it. My car is now 13yrs and never had issue with the cooling system. Thanks for the comment bro. Happy New Year! Keep Safe!

hlw my new petrol car only 2500km driven, but my coolant colour changed from blue colour to colourless greyish colour. i replaced it , but after 5000km the colour again changed. what is the problem.pls reply 😊

Hi, i dont want to suspect your engine have head gasket issue since you still have new car. Normal Coolant replacement should be around 200K km and every 2500km is not normal. Coolant when turn into milky grayish color usually have issues in head gasket and I suggest to bring it to your dealership.

mura prestone kasi it uses cheaper corrosion inhibitor 2-eha which attacks silicone etc. yung honda type-2 walang 2-eha.

Nadale mo paps. Ayaw ng Honda sa 2-eha. Hanggang ngaun, wala pa din ako mahanap na matinong alternatibo para sa HondaType 2 Coolant.

@@rondg2 , nanghihinayang ako kung honda type 2 coolant ang gagamitin para sa 10yr scheduled coolant change. Since 5 years naman na ang next palit. sa 5 year na yun, baka may maunang bumigay sa cooling system. Sayang lang yung gastos sa type2 coolant. Nakikita kong alternative ay Toyota super long life (Pink), same na silicate-nitrate-borate free, phosphate-OAT, sebacate instead na 2-eha. Nasa 450-500 ang 2L toyota pink vs sa 900-1k honda blue type2 Or yung sa Shell, coolguard oat. (Reco Cool) Silicate free. Kaso walang phosphates, non-amine (2-eha = amine)… Share ko lang. Yung zerex asian red toyota-lexus at zerex asian blue honda -acura, (Zerex ang isa sa mga recommended na alternative sa honda type2 sa US) ay may magkapareho lang ng product info sheet. Dye lang pinagkaiba para umakma ang kulay sa oem coolant ng toyota at honda.

@@bryanpd6882 tnx for the info! 16yo na honda ko. so twice na nag coolant change. buti nalang wala naman nasisira sa cooling system that'll cause the coolant to go to waste hehehe. btw sa ford ko it also uses OAT coolant na walang 2eha (motorcraft). meron cheaper alternative (caltex havoline orange) pero i checked datasheet meron 2eha. so check out the motorcraft but i think the price isn't much different from honda type2

I talk to a guy in auto zone today he said should be fine but I rather empty it out first don’t want little mistake take more time and money. I brought the antifreeze a month ago and I open it I was like that’s not green like used to be I guessed they changed the color??? And I also know that even engine oil was better than before nowadays so I came across this video. Thanks for the video man !

Hello bro. Wala naman effect bro. Actually nakagamit na din ako dati ng green prestone, wala din naman epekto like overheating. Yung mga hoses ko, stock pa din, hindi lumutong or lumobo.

@RedenSilang-vz9rj di ko lang sure bro pero similar size din yata ang engine natin. Mga around 4.5litters din aabutin kung regular change lang at hindi overhaul. Pag overhaul kasi mahigit 5 liters aabutin. Thanks bro

Hello Danrell, 3.78 litters yang 1 galon na yan and me natira pang siguro wala pang kalahati litro. Sa petcock lang ako nag drain, hindi ko na ginalaw yung drain plug sa engine block. Gipit kasi. Thanks sa question bro.

@@dandan4763 yes bro. Distilled water lang. No other chemical pang flushing. Hinayan ko lang isang takbo ng blower fan para masiguro nag open ang thermostat. Then drained na yung distilled. Green prestone kasi nakalagay dati. After drain, nilagay ko na yang preatone blue.
