Another aftermarket exhaust for the new CRF that shows huge weight savings. I have to say i like the sound of the Moto X. It is definately in the running for my 300 Rally, if it ever arrives at my dealership here in the US. Just found out yesterday that the ship date was pushed back again..!!..(3rd time) to the 2nd week of May now. Dealer also said his shipment of bikes was lowered down to 6 bikes, further reducing his inventory yet again.

I hope you get delivery pretty soon! It's an amazing bike. The Moto X is a great set up for the money. I've seen the same exhaust branded as FMF so I guess you'll see plenty of them with different logo's on.

Hi Mo, good to hear from you! I paid ฿16,946.02 THB including delivery from Thailand. That equates to just over $700 BND. If you get one I would definitely remove the DB Killer as mine has a little heat damage on the carbon end cone, apparently this can be avoided. Ey up, that looks grand. Difficult to tell from the video, but is it noisier? I’m guessing a bit, but I’m asking from a Yorkshire and Derbyshire green lane perspective where I’d quite like to save the weight, but if the noise will get the ramblers excited about closing lanes I’d be best looking for something quieter. Also, for the H2C bash guard, is that a Rally specific one or the L one that happens to fit? Thanks!
@northernmonkeyadventures
@northernmonkeyadventures 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Andre, to me the X Moto isn't any louder it's just got a deeper (nicer) tone to it. It has the DB killer fitted that I have left in place but if you search you can find a sound clip with it out that sounds very loud (but still a lovely tone to it) The bash plate (Heavy duty one) was direct from Bikerzbits in Thailand that said it was for the Rally and CRF300L. It is a perfect fit but allows the build up of a lot of crud behind it due to only having one small hole on the belly. I think it possibly needs a couple more drain holes drilling to be honest. Love your vids by the way

@@PeakMotorcycles I've just checked about the bashplate on Bikerzbits site and they have now labled it as for the 300L only. It does fit nicely but you do have to squeeze the outer fairing plastics in a little bit on the Rally. The other option I think it's Yamoto looks like it has better drainage (possibly lighter?) but is also only on the 300L H2C accessory page

Many thanks for the prompt reply! I am so envy and jealous !! I am actually in London (UK not Canada) and intend to live in Sarawak in the near future. I have been trying to find out how to get the same bike as yours since it was launched in Thailand but to no avail. So getting the bike the way you did is obviously possible assuming that you must be or have to be a resident or citizen of Brunei in order to buy the bike in Brunei, have an address which you could register the bike etc..... So what happens when you wish to ride the bike across the border into Sarawak or Sabah? I apologise for all these questions. You must be the only CRF300L or Rally owner/rider in Malaysia - hence my excitement, hope and questions! Hope you don't mind me asking. My dream is to ride the whole of Borneo and ride to Bario, camping and fishing. Whether or not I am able to get the CRF300L or the Rally, I hope to meet you one day. Happy and safe rallying ! Rgds, Zak

@@zakriC Hi Zak, and thanks for the comments! The borders are obviously closed into and out of Brunei at the minute but travel into Sabah and Sarawak will be fine once the Covid scare has passed. It's a simple online declaration form I believe. I know that bikes are sold in and out of Sarawak from Brunei so I imagine it's just a paperwork issue if you wanted to purchase one. Speak to Btop Honda in Bandar and they will point you in the right direction. My bike was a special order but they have since shipped in another Rally that is sat in the showroom in Bandar!! My plan is to ride the bike back to the UK once my contract finishes here but I'll certainly be exploring Borneo first! Would be great to meet up.

How tall are you? Can to put both feet on the ground? Sounds good to me 👍 I see you said 5' 7" and it sags a bit. But, the springs would be best if upgraded from stock for many riders weight. With the springs all upgraded , you won't get that sag like now, and it will seem too tall I think. For example, I sat on a stock DR650 with a seat height of over 34.6 " and sag was so much I could manage touching ground no problem. I went and sat on an Africa Twin and it had no sag and I could barely tip toe to the ground. 😂
@northernmonkeyadventures

I'm 5' 7" with 32 inside leg. I've had a KTM 690 Enduro R which was very tall but even then you only need one foot down to be honest. The extra height comes in handy when off road. The Rally is no issue at all and I'm eager to get the suspension upgrade not only to solve the bouncy bike issue but also to create more height. You could still get a stiffer rear shock with maybe a lowering link if it was a problem for you?
