I run the xl 80 from desert unlimited. It’s 80w at 9,500 lumens on high. Low beam is at 4,500. It works great. If you have to go though the city or somthing you run it on low.

I come to Las Vegas every year (end of may) to ride my 450l while my wife does her thing at the strip. I leave early in the mourning before it gets too hot. Never crossed my pea head to get some lights and ride at night. I just sent Ruby an email about your set up. Good Video

Excellent, its the coolest in the mornings for sure, and it can be hot even after the sun goes down, but I struggle in the morning. Lol Mount Charleston is good too, its like 7-8k feet altitude.

@@MobMoto The three places I visit every time I visit Las Vegas is Mount Charleston (Looks very close to Lake Tahoe ski areas), Boy Scouts camp in Mount Potosi and the Pioneer Saloon.

Hey Rodney, love your content. I'm stoked cause I'm picking up a fresh 23 450RL next week and looking forward to following your lead.

Great video. Could you do a short video with just 1 light on? Just cover one up with a glove or somthing like that.

Rodney, great video - I followed your advice and got the exact same setup on a '23 CRF450RL. LOVE the light! Then, 30 minutes into a ride, the battery died. I'm currently diagnosing, but wanted to ask if you might offer any insight. Thanks! Enjoying all your videos - keep it up.

Thanks Yes I think I commented in your Facebook post. I don’t run any gps or phone charging when running mine and I don’t have any trouble. If the lights are on without the bike running it will drain the battery. I’d check the wiring again, charge the battery full, ride the bike, and see if you have the same problem. I feel like the battery got drained from the lights being on too long with the bike off. Not turning the key off stopped for too long with the bike off got me on my 790 before.

@@MobMoto I didn't realize that was you on FB. Thanks Rodney. I'll continue testing.

Hell yeah nicely set up. Gonna have to copy you. Do you think the stock stator is enough for these lights?
@MobMoto Жыл бұрын
Yes, it's enough, it is a question of how much can be added on top of the lights. Im gonna power a GPS and try to add a charging port. Im pretty sure it's close to what ktm stator has and its good for GPS and lights, so there's some testing to be done but i think it'll be the same on the Honda.

Question: You show that you connected directly to the battery connector. How is it then connected to the high beam switch? That's exactly what I want to do. THANKS for a great suggestion.
@MobMoto6 ай бұрын
There’s a wire lead that can be tapped easily into the high beam circuit.
