Would the Pro-taper CR high bend, fit with the zeta front mount/ Zeta handguard set up? I want to get the front mount to keep the handlebars clean, curious if the wrap around will still fit on the zeta front mount on the triple clamp w/ high-bend bars.

Yes, it should work. We've had a few customers do that setup with no issues.

Great vid. Especially a big thank you for not ruining it with crappy background music! Had to laugh when you said "programmable tail light"! I avoid chips whenever possible. Admittedly, FI works pretty good, but the settings are controlled by the gretas of the world.
@user-we5yo2yo1f2 жыл бұрын
By programmable, we mean that there are 7 different turn signal flash types you can choose from, and you can turn the safety brake pulsing on and off. Stuff like that. All very easy to do and explained in the instructions included with the tail light.

When I upgraded my handlebars and hand guards last year on my 300 Rally, I searched everywhere for those triple tree, forward facing mounts for the hand guards but I couldn’t find them anywhere, so I had to settle for the alternative. Which in my opinion is crap! And now that I see you have the good mounts in stock, I would still rather mount them to the triple tree like you have here, because I believe this is the most secure way, not to mention a cleaner look, and, one less thing mounted to your handlebars, as you mentioned... But if I remove these old hand guard mounts, it’s going to leave two nasty scratch marks on the handlebars. Which is yet another reason why I didn’t want to mount them there in the first place... But, I was able to fit the CR High bars on the 300 Rally, and nothing is touching or rubbing (just barely) even though these alternative handlebar mounts don’t leave very much room to work with, again, another reason I don’t care for these crappy mounts that I have. When trying to adjust the brake/clutch levers for ideal standing position, your limited to how far you can go. One of my levers is a bit higher than the other... My advice, go with the mounts seen in this video.

Yes, the Zeta Front Mount Style triple clamp mounts for the handguards are available here soloracer.com/zetahgmnt.html . They can sometimes be hard for us to get and can be out of stock occasionally. Alot of people prefer them over the standard handguard clamps, the only downside is possibly a bit of extra rigidity that some hardcore off-road riders don't want. They want a bit of flex in their handlebars and the tripe clamp mounts definitely stiffen things up a bit.

@@user-we5yo2yo1f thanks for the info. Also, you talked about that dual density connection for the Denali lights, which sounds like the way to go, but where were you getting the power for the lights before you installed that unit? And were you using using a relay? Thanks.

ive been watching vidios and in some of those the cops say that you can't have intergrated tail light and turn signals the turn signals must be 9 inches apart so is that kit street legal in all states?
@user-we5yo2yo1f2 жыл бұрын
Turn signal laws vary from state to state. In some states, you don't even need them and can use hand signals. So it really varies... check your local laws. Alot of riders like the integrated setup if they are doing mostly off-road riding and they don't really care much about anything other than not having external turn signals sticking out that can get broken off if they crash or drop the bike. Keep in mind, even with the integrated tail light kits, you can still run external turn signals if you want more of that traditional look of having external turn signals.

No I don't, but... the new handlebar setup is about 1" taller than stock. We measured before and after to get that measurement.

Any idea when the front mount wrap around mounts will be available? The bar clamps do not work well in hard falls as they will move and allow levers and or cables to be broken. I know by experience !

Unfortunately those are backordered everywhere. We do have a bunch on order, so now we're just waiting. Hopefully only another week or two, but these days it's hard to say.

Is that a USB socket mounted behind the bends? How was that mounted and which product is it?
@user-we5yo2yo1f2 жыл бұрын
Can't remember exactly where we got that, but it's nothing we carry on our website. it does have the Honda plug on it so it plugs right into the connector under the headlight shroud. It has a small mounting bracket which we bolted up to the handguard triple clamp mount we're running.

If you had to choose between the CRF300L and the 690SMCR, what would it be and why. I’m buying one of these in Spring.
@user-we5yo2yo1f2 жыл бұрын
Two very different bikes. The KTM is expensive, but it's also arguably the best street legal supermoto on the market today. It's a great bike, with all the bells and whistles, but probably not ideal for beginners or newer riders. The CRF300L is a very affordably priced dual sport aimed more at beginner riders, or riders looking for something reliable that they can have fun with and not have to spend a ton of money. It has budget brakes, suspension, and is down on power compared to the KTM. They have a huge following though, because they're hard to beat for the price.
@jkabee2 жыл бұрын
@@user-we5yo2yo1f yes... I'm torn between the two. I like the CRF solely for the off-road fun factor, but as 90% of my riding will likely be ONroad, I am hesitant to be stuck with 289cc. I thought my DRZ400 was kinda slow, so I assume the CRF will be worse. I have lots of bike experience. My favorite was the DRZ because of the SM setup. SMs are a blast to ride. My fastest was a Triumph Daytona 675, so the 690/701 don't scare me in terms of crazy power.
@user-we5yo2yo1f2 жыл бұрын
@@jkabee If you have the money, the KTM is a great bike and has all the bells and whistles. We've been enjoying ours. We also have a couple DRZ400SM's and it's often my go-to bike, I still really have fun on it even though it's down on power to bikes like the KTM. It's arguably the best bang-for-the-buck in a street supermoto.... we have ours both full modded and what we have in them is still well under what the KTM cost new. You can convert the 300L to an SM as well if you want to have 2 bikes in 1 and have a wheel/tire setup for both street and dirt riding. I'd also recommend upgrading the suspension and brakes on it though, since that seems to be where Honda saved money to keep cost down.
