Hey Mark - fantastic when it all goes back together and then fires right up eh?! I just went through the same process on my little Honda 150. Got it all the way up to the trails in the back of my truck the day before and it just wouldn't start...came home and gave the carb cleaning a try. Worked great - fired right up. It's a great feeling of accomplishment. I like this style of video - regular guy giving it a go - very encouraging. Kelly

Good job mark. Seems like I've done a thousand of those car rebuilds. It's summer time in Texas and it was nice watching you rebuild your CT 110 carburetor in the air conditioning. It's fun watching somebody learn. I still get a chuckle out of your camp cooking, I'm not sure why. I have no intention of ever camping, but it's still very entertaining. I enjoy watching you every time you put something out, it's always a pleasure.

thanks, this video and the next one about not holding idle are very helpful :) if anyone is doing this same thing, fyi you don't need to disconnect the fuel hoses like that, just set fuel valve to OFF, drain the carb (unscrew plug in back), and unscrew the entire fuel valve section off of the carb.

Amazing how well a motor runs with a clean and properly adjusted carb. Stupid KZbin had unsubscribed me twice this month. Not sure what is up with that.

Oh, well done Mark! Feels so good when you get it right first time. I've had intermittent problem with my SV650 electrics for months and at last found out the solenoid was buggered...swapped it out and hey presto it works perfectly! Intermittent problems are the worst, you can never replicate them when your trying to trace the problem. Now I know how my starter motor works, after taking it apart etc haha

Hi Mark For Chalrie just clean the carb, main jet, Idle jet and check the rubber tip on the needle to see if it is worn out, this would be it has a Ridge worn in it. It's not really necessary to replace all the parts on these carbs often, a good jet clean normally does the job. Always check circclip position. Center is nornaly standard. Moving up is richer and down is leaner. This determines if your bike will run rich or lean when underway. Air screw does the same when the bike is at idle and just off Idle. Always count aircrew and Idle screw turns before removal. Great video, I was shouting at the screen LOL.

Good Job Mark! Things really are not that hard to do if you take the time and research, read and learn, I like how you laid everything out and figured out what parts were there and what you didn't have. I would venture to guess that maybe other models of bikes may not have the black spacer plate on the intake, so this may be the reason for the one missing O-ring. I did not yell at the screen but did say "he'll figure out the C-clip position when it comes time to run the bike" Another good video, this should get your views coming back up, You need to start back on the KLR upgrades or get a new project bike series going, that will help with the viewership IMO. Looking forward to the next videos!

With jobs like this, lots of little bits, I use an egg carton to keep bits in order of disassembly...reassembly. CT110 my second favorite toy.

31:40- the story of my life pilot screw, idle screw, air screw dot dot dot ad infinitum.... Gosh I always have to look up the proper name for each. Great video Sir--- getting ready to put mine back together as soon as the kit arrives. VERY helpful you compared the parts for us laid out on your bench. And it has probably been said but the needle clip position is easy to set so long as one knows the insides are clean and you know you have the proper jets.

Hey Mark, if you loosen that float bowl screw it first with a small white container under it, you'll get most of your fuel out so it doesn't pee out over your floor/fingers and see you'll see most of the crap coming out. Next, do yourself a favour and put an inline paper fuel filter(don't use those stone things, they're shite 😉), in between the tank and the carb, they stop tons of crap, that little gauze thing doesn't do much... Other than that, well done dude👍, if you do the other one you'll be an expert and be able to do it blind😁👍. Greetings from Mark in Germany

Yes I screamed. The clip on the needle richens or leans the mix. Starting in the middle is the go then up or down to tune it. Lower position make the bike run richer as the needle sits higher in the emulsion tube. Higher position...you guessed it leaner. I'm one of those weirdos who loves carburetors. Job well done in the end

heat gun will soften most plastics so you can remove/ reshape without damage.

You could use an ultrasonic cleaner with all the small parts you clean. They work well even on the needle valves. I enjoyed the postie bike video. I can't help but wondering how many miles and packages/letters that little bike has carried! That just cool. Does your post office use all cars and trucks now?

@@BikerBits That's really cool. They use LLVs (Long Live Vehicles) in the USA. They cost a lot of money but they have a modular set up so you can maintain them easily. They replaced the mail jeeps every once in a while a collector will have one at a car show. That little bike is so practical it wouldn't cost much to keep it going.
