This is why the 1000km challenge is so important, it really brings out the long range quality of any car. Thanks EV Ambassador. You have to fail really hard with a active liquid cooled car to go slower then a passive cooled rapidgating old E-Golf.(nice job Honda) Just get a E-Up or a Corsa-E for the money.

Well, it did not rapidgate, so the cooling system works. The car is just inefficient, does not have a big battery and does not charge particularly fast to begin with. If it rapidagated, too, oh boy would that have been a long challenge.

I really like the car. Just seems to me like a Retro car in an EV skin. I own KIA Soul 30kWh (33kWh total) version and it seems pretty strange that I can do 1000km challenge and fit in between climbing highest mountain in te UK Ben Nevis and still be back in my house before someone else just do 1000km in Honda E. So by sticking to my KIA I can have time off to do mountain climbing and think about Honda E owners when on the top of the mountains :D Just teasing ha ha.

I can’t believe you actually did the 1000km test with this car. Well done. “Me as a user didn’t get it” I don’t think it’s your fault Bjørn. This is a hallmark of bad interface design. Good interface design is intuitive and doesn’t require reading manuals to understand. Bad interface design is about software engineers expecting normal human beings think exactly like them, and if they don’t it’s their problem.

I guess you didn't read all the comments on the previous video, where he did it, saying he should have scrolled down to select what he wanted to show. You see, he tapped the place, a menu showed up displaying the possibilities, but he didn't scroll down to find out whether the data he wanted to see is available. The scroll arrows are visible, so is an approximate position within the list. Bad design would be for example accepting an attempt to scroll only by tapping the arrows, or only by dragging, not both.

Roll-on the day a microwave becomes standard equipment in a car, maybe the glove-box could double up as one? Question to you Bjorn, did you notice if the 1.5kW it takes comes from the battery or does the charger supplement the extra load (like a Tesla with A/C)? The easiest way of reducing cost of EVs concerns the battery and ease/speed of charging. Most likely, manufacturers will strive towards 400km range, reduce production price and battery weight. A lighter car means motor, dampers, breaks and more can be scaled to tackle less kinetic energy. In turn, everything gets simpler and cheaper. A decent charging infrastructure and general understanding among drivers of EV driving expectations and planning makes the whole difference.
