Wish there were more techs like you willing to teach and show others as you work not just in videos but with those you work with. A Lot of these techs don’t want to show anything and shoo the new guys away

During the initial startup, the exhaust sounds like a ricer car w/ a fart can exhaust. The customer had to dish out $4600 for the new cat converter plus hardware, at this price, you could rebuild the trans, overhaul the entire suspension including brakes & tires, also, you maybe could rebuild the motor.

I want to cry at how cleanly the front pipe bolts came off. Mine were like rusty tooth picks (road salt) and both broke off. Tomorrow will have to drill them out 😢

It's 2:30 a.m. and that's exactly what I'm doing...and trying not to cry also.

$4k is about 10 times the price of an after market catalytic converter. I interpret that as Honda saying: yeah, we really don't want the business but if you insist then we'll take your $$$$. No wonder people go with aftermarket. I'd be getting strong spring bolts, or something, anything. I can't imagine insurance would ever pay for the OEM part such an old vehicle.

I have a 2010 Element 224,000 miles. One of the best vehicles ever made. I have the infamous manifold to converter leak. Honda quotes out OEM parts 2x at the dealer. Couldn’t even imagine what I’d have to pay if I went there when I could fix it myself for under $100

extremely 🥲 same with the 02 sensor

They mis-quoted it though. One of the sensors was not needed. So the bill was probably closer to 4k even
