Honda Element - How to Remove Windshield Trim/Garnish Moulding

To save your 3-piece windshield side trim or garnish moldings clips from being destroyed on your 2003-11 Honda Element, here’s the non-pry method of getting the A-pillar trim off.

Need a video on how to install the light bar mount kit before i commit to buying it. I cant really tell what modifications need to be done to this pillar and how it is installed

What I will never understand is how the wind / highway speeds can rip these mouldings clear off the Element. 😑

Usually it’s a combo (in my opinion) of improperly mounted trim (glued on after fasteners/trim tabs get broken) and the lack of slope on our windshields. The air is looking for the quickest escape once hitting the windshield at decent speeds so additional airflow is forced to the sides of the glass versus over the top.

Honda has some great engineering but this has to be one of the dumbest designs they have ever come up with.

Honda engineering is impressive, but typically it’s the trim getting reinstalled improperly that, I believe, causes the trim to go into fling mode.
