Take my money. I’m sold! Been wanting a reliable/fuss free car in this segment with a sorted ride and handling and good steering. Gizmos and feature can go to hell.
@RockingHardikVlogs Жыл бұрын
Why ? whats the problem with Gizmos ? It makes life easier, smarter.
@aaronderyl Жыл бұрын
Well some gizmos like a 360degree camera help a lot in parking / manoeuvring through tight spaces preventing scratches. Your hard earned money should be completely worth it if there were some good gizmos on top of the basics right? USB C is at present a basic. What’s your take?
@punc1214 Жыл бұрын
@@aaronderyl I understand your perspective, and it’s true that having gizmos and advanced features can be appealing. However, from my experience, I’ve found that the fundamentals of a car play a more significant role in overall satisfaction. If the basics like ride and handling , comfort, and reliability are not up to par, buyer’s remorse can set in easily. Regarding the 360-degree camera, I feel that it may not always be as useful as expected, especially in this catagory where the resolution is not up to par. The edges turn up so vague that it does more harm than good. In most cases, relying on rearview mirrors might be more practical when making tight maneuvers. Premium cars with high-resolution 360-degree cameras do offer a better experience, but in the case of this category, a rear camera may be more than sufficient. The only feature I miss are electrically adjustable seats with multiple adjustments. Not even the ventilated seats so much. Honda have some of the best air conditioning in their cars so sort of negates the need for ventilated seats.
@punc1214 Жыл бұрын
@@RockingHardikVlogs I’m all for gizmos but the truth is, there’s no perfect car. They simply won’t give you everything in a single package. Ultimately it comes down to your personal preference. I would always go for strong fundamentals instead of feature galore.

Fantastic and a very sensible review by Gavin! Honda checks a lot of lists - 220MM ground clearance, comfort, spacious, large boot and proper Honda driving dynamics. I wish they could elevate the interior a bit(it's time Honda upped the luxury quotient!) Also missing are 360 degree camera(immensely useful in crowded cities and parking spots), memory seat function and cooled seats. I can let go of the panoramic sunroof, but other than that a very compelling SUV. Honda needs to price it correctly if they want to compete in this increasingly overcrowded segment.
@srinitaaigaura Жыл бұрын
All is perfect but for a few major omissions - ventilated seats, no interior LED lights, no rain sensing wipers from the City and 360 degree camera system, USB C ports. But they got the fundamentals right. It's spacious too. But it's time Honda gives an option to turbocharge that 1.5L engine.

Value proposition through mild hybrid can really push their sales high. There is still a craze for Honda but the company is not realising this fact. Few points if they keep in mind, they can still flourish in the Indian market (both the youth and the mid-aged professionals) 1. Panoramic sunroof 2. Strong/mild hybrid (especially the mileage) 3. Pricing (see that they fit inline with Hyundai and Tata segments) 4. 360° camera (a car like Baleno offers that man).

Elevate has faulted ADAS system. While ADAS is built for additional safety, Honda has totally missed the sensitivity of Indian traffic. The CMBS (Collision Mitigation Braking System) actually ends up hurting people as much as saving. Traffic in India is so dense that the car keeps on auto braking abruptly at every detection, which ends up hurting people sitting inside the car. Due to sudden braking, I have personally seen people getting whiplash injuries from their seatbelt, senior citizens getting injured and kids could also get hurt. If you have hot food in your hand, even that can spill on you and you can get injured. Also, with continuous traffic and recurring sudden braking, the car is at a high risk of getting hit by the traffic behind; again; hurting the passengers. Even if they have given the option to turn off the CMBS, it turns itself on every time you restart the car. It is not reasonable to expect to remember to turn it off every time you start the car. It is not reasonable to also expect the hired drivers to turn the system off every time they start the car. Honda must give the option to keep the CMBS turned off at all times unless the driver wants to turn it on. The current design of auto turn-off has already put my family and other occupants of my car at high risk, and it will do so with others as well. This issue must be raised to the authorities as well. Commonsense and safety go hand in hand. Please consider carefully before buying this car with this feature. This is my personal opinion and it has very low range as it uses WRV's 40 ltr tank .

I'm currently deliberating between the New Creta and the Elevate for my next car purchase. My budget falls within the range of 18L-19L. My daily commute primarily consists of approximately 80km within city limits, and I go on highway drives around 8-10 times a year. Safety and mileage are top priorities for me. After evaluating various options, I've narrowed down my choices to these two cars. However, I'm facing a dilemma. With my budget, I can afford the Top CVT model of the Elevate, while with the Creta, I can only get the 2nd top model. Although the Elevate lacks some features offered by the Creta, Honda is renowned for its engine performance and reliability. Moreover, I plan to keep this car for more than 10 years, so factors such as service cost and spare parts availability are crucial considerations for my decision. Additionally, I'm concerned about the potential discontinuation of the Elevate model by Honda, similar to what happened with the WRV and BRV models, and how it would impact service and parts availability in the long term. I've received a significant discount from the Honda dealership for the Nov/Dec-2023 model. Considering this, should I still consider the Elevate, or would it be better to opt for the Creta for its features, look, and feel? Given these factors, I would greatly appreciate your guidance on which option would be the best choice for me.

Yet another 5 star rated review @Autocar India!! Coming to the new SUV from Honda, I guess this will certainly have takers who rely on the Honda reliability. Also I must point out that, this SUV is all about simplicity and elegance especially with that Navy blue colour. Although it misses on some "NEW GEN" features, it has got the interiors which are just spot on like any other Honda added with good ground clearance. Coming to the engine part, Hmm yes , it doesn't have a powerful turbo under the hood. But we are yet to know how the complicated turbo engines withstand the new E20 fuel. And this i-vtec is a tried and tested sweet revving unit with 6 speed manual/7 speed cvt. NA engines with manual gearbox are still fun to drive! Personally for me, I would choose this over the competition.
