Amazing project! If I fit 929/954 steering clamps into my 97 frame, would the anti theft locker still be working? Did you have to solve clearance issue with radiator at full steering angle ? I am considering the feasibility of forks swap but maintaining the 16” wheel and radial caliper.. not sure if radial caliper 100mm would guarantee the usage of entire brake pads surface. Any feedback pls let us know.. thanks

+Lamb Chop Rides used to be mate but sold my anniversary edition blade and my 1200 bandit and my wife's discovery to put up a deposit on our house.. Rode a few pieces of shit over the last 6 years and now finally back on my feet and got a zx10r but I do still miss my blade

whta forks do you have on the bike. i want to use 50mm forks from a cbr 1000 on my 98 how can i set those up on my 98

Are they blade rear shock triangles ? And what was done to fit the swing arm? And what was done to fit the wheels?

hello Lamb Chop you surprised and inspired me so much such part's picking must come from great old school taste you surely out did yourself may i ask where did you get the ohlins "LOOKALIKE" forks what are they called (code name) if you know what the manufacturer name and also the BREMBO "LOOKALIKE" brake caliper's if from ebay please tell me the seller's or store name sorry for so many questions at ones please update if you changed the seat height or the rear suspension since your first couple of rides you mentioned the ride height did you mange to lower it some how thank you very much for filming this Build Diary the bike you build is truly poster worthy

The forks were done by a company called FireFox Racing, they are on ebay so you can contact them there. The calipers were done myself, they are RR8 blade calipers which have been aqua blasted then stickers added. The rear height was adjusted just by adjusting shock length as you can do that with the Ohlins unit. Otherwise I would have had to have some custom suspension triangles made up. Any more questions just let me know :)

hi ya, absolutely love your videos!, can I rake you brains please, was looking at doing similar, not with the engine, that is far beyond me, but with the swing arm and usd fork conversion. can I ask, what wheels did you use, what bike are they from? I take it you have a 17in wheel on the front now? also when you done the front conversion with the usd forks, did you have to change the yokes? I could go on for ever asking questions,lol any help on these would be greatly appreciate , thanks chris

+onlymem8 thanks Onlymem, right let me begin :-) wheels are OZ forged but 2000 Fireblade fitment, needed custom spacers up front though. Yokes are 954 the 1000 yokes don't give much steering lock, the steering lock don't worky though but never used it anyway! Forks RR5 blade. Hope that helps :)

thanks for getting back to me, really appreciate your time, i take it you had to use the 2005 rotors on the front to work? was the rear brakes a 2000 blades rotor and caliper or did you have to change these as well to somthing diffrent?, think im going to be a pain in your arse with all these questions lol, hopfully i wont make it to sore! ill avoid the, can you do it for me question, promise!. +onlymem8 hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes 2005 rotors or 2007 better as they are 320mm. Also there are some 330 which fit.. Think it's the RC51 sp1.. You can use 2008 blade calipers I did for a couple of years before switching to brembo, any 108mm calipers fits tbh it's standard spacing but you may need to add the spacers depending what size disk you use to raise the caliper.
