Interesting idea to wire the light bar to your center highbeam. I'd like to replace the factory headlights on my Rubi, but that center light you replaced didn't look as bright as the original. Would have liked to have seen a before/after with all the other lights unplugged. Thanx for sharing! Let us know if you find a replacement for the 2 front headlight bulbs.

Hey Q. Thanks for watching. I figured with the LED light bar, it wouldn’t draw that much power being that it only has 12 LEDs. It was a lot easier than hooking up a separate switch. My other thought was to hook it to the Feniex controller that I used for the strobe lights. That would’ve been an easy hook up but the only issue is then I would defeat the purpose of the cargo box coming off of the rack without having any wires attached. I guess I could have used a quick disconnect plug but I like that the light bar goes on with the high beam switch. Totally agree with you about the LED possibly not being as bright as the original halogen. I think what I’ll do is a nighttime test with the headlights and lightbar covered up so that we can only see the center light. I’ll show how the LED by itself looks and then swap the halogen bulb back in and show that. If it turns out that the halogen is much brighter, then maybe I’ll just stick with it. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for an LED headlight replacement. I’ve seen a couple videos where some guys have put in the Honda factory LEDs lamp units from the Pioneer side-by-side but it requires re-fabricating or cutting the headlight bucket. Not really looking forward to doing that. Stay tuned 👍

Hey my man. You actually have the lights turned where the LED is facing up and down. It should be facing side to side. If you can’t get it to set right by turning it…they should have a set screw on the base of the bulb. Just a heads up man. Good video

Thanks for the info….makes total sense since that would mimic the way the filament on the halogen sits. I looked and both the Auxlight and the Auxito are not adjustable. Watch for a new video tonight on the comparison of the 3. Thanks for watching.

@@southernslangerz2254 That is awesome!!! I know how exciting it is. I’m 60 and this is my second ATV. I had a ‘94 Honda TRX300 2wd until we sold it in 2012 to get a Harley. Best ATV ever. I love the new color you got. Just a tad lighter than my Molasses Brown. It’s been awesome for plowing with all the snow we’ve gotten. Best of luck with it 👍

Do you know if the power to that light comes from the switch or the headlights

I know what you’re asking but to tell you the truth, I’m not sure if the power for that wire comes from the switch, a relay or is piggy-backed from the headlight. It’s hard to follow that wire back to the source because the wiring harnesses are encased in plastic.

I have a question when you go onto Amazon it says like 880, h1, h2 so on witch one do you have that fits in the rubicon

It’s the 880 but before you order that, watch my later video where I compare that Auxlight to an Auxito I found. I liked the Auxito better and that’s what I still use in my Rubicon. @@__big-_-coop glad to help. Also the 9” Auxbeam lightbar I added to the front bumper made a huge difference. Since it doesn’t pull that much power, I tapped into the high beam headlight power wire so that it goes on with the handlebar light. No additional switch needed. kzbin.info/www/bejne/haOXqYyIa5mWhck

No problem! I love them, I put in both Hondaboats low and high beam bulbs. I couldn’t wait to get rid of the yellow stock bulbs. 🤣 I have a 6” light bar that I plan on putting it the same place as yours but would like to run it to the low beam switch instead of the high beam.

@@kristencain2232 one more question before I order a set. Since they are low-beam only and the factory bulbs have both low and high beam elements in the same bulb, do the LED replacements stay on when you flip to the high beams? I’m hoping they stay on and don’t turn off. 🤞Thanks.
