Hey guys I hope you enjoyed the video! If this is your first time here be sure to check out the full build playlist for more in-depth views into each component on the bike. In case you didn't know I build bikes professionally and have numerous builds going at all times so again cruise the channel for all the videos on those projects as well. Thanks for watching!

How beautiful! when I was a child I helped my uncle who was a mechanic. I was in charge of passing the pintof on the board and then I used the spatula to remove the paint from the board. Never been a fan of the cafe racer style seat. I prefer the bobber saddle or even the padded "tractor" style seat. That being said, the seat you fabed for this bike is gorgeous and doesn't look like you'd slide off the back on a hard launch. As for the whole build... Who knew there was a beautiful bike under all that plastic. Your ability to "start with a rock and remove everything that isn't sculpture" never ceases to amaze me. I am so glad you did that collab with the Bearded Mechanic, how I found your channel. I have been thoroughly enjoying going thru all of your old videos.

Such a great build mate! Film work was also great. I've been slowly customising a CX500 and this will be a go-to vid to see some perfect inspiration. Can I ask?....what is the tank from? and the handlebar controls? ( I love the twin headlights, I'm doing that myself in a slightly different way) You should have Ads on this vid. You deserve to monetise such great workmanship and inspiration. (just not too many....lol) Greetings from 'Built in Bondi', Australia.
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Marc thank you! For all of the modifications you can actually see the full build playlist as I document each step as I go. I have a much higher-tier CX500 build playlist on here as well as yet another CX500 scrambler playlist. The tank on this bike is totally stock. For ads, you would have had to see/skip two before it started, then maybe 1 or two during the video. I placed 4 potential ad breaks but most don't need to see them all. I do not overload my videos with ads but they are there.

What REALLY impresses me is that when you made the wiring harness (you MADE the wiring harness!!!) you managed to get all the lengths of free cable past the harness, that go to the individual components all completely correct. So all the wires had exactly the right length of cable to go where they needed to go. How in holy f*ck did you do that??? DEEP RESPECT man. That's just my kind of bike (apart from the headlights)!

Nice build, instead of the diagonal bars beside the head lights should have metal worked or plasma cut your BHB on there for a bigger wow effect. 👍👍

I've just seen flat plates a million times on bikes. I haven't seen one like this. Same reason I did the whole subframe like this.

Great video. Great build. Only thing I would change is go with powdercoating over rattle can paint for frame and swingarm.
@BrickHouseBuilds

Thank you John. FYI the paint did come from a can but is professional level stuff with a 2k hardener making it very strong. This is a customer bike as well so everyone has a different budget. Check out the white CX500 build for top tier parts and practices as it is 10x the level of this.

Thank you but its just a search term. Its not any particular style but saying its just "custom" doesnt get any views. Look at my latest timelapse video for example. Higher quality build and video but not performing nearly as well. Also check this bikes linked Bike Bound article as I mention the "just custom" aspect again.

Definitely cleaned up well. I didn't need to tear into it as the stator checked out resistance wise and I could tell it had a new rear cover gasket suggesting recent service

Yep she's pretty, but the little things you had to hand build from scratch and figure out all the tiny little details to come together and make it all work. I love that V-twin back in 79 the CX 500 C was the very first new bike I owned, it was so much fun I'd love to have another. Good freaken job kid not everybody can do what you do.

The "Cafe racer" I think started during the mods and rocker period in the UK. A time when competitive runs from a cafe to a point in town and back became popular with the rockers This bred a nimble bike, light, spartan and only comfortable for quick squirt into town.
