I would, put safety first. There is no way I would not take advantage of any recall. From what I understand, the "bolt" recall you are speaking of, is a must-do. Or it can have parts break off and lock up the engine. Glad you are getting it done.

@@BootsandJeansRiders absolutely. Catastrophic failure resulting in major damage to internal parts and or to the rider. Possibility of rear wheel lock up is a safety hazard.

That’s a good looking bike. I’m in Montana and it’s currently -4*f right now as I type this. The recall shouldn’t be that big of a deal. We will all be fine!

I agree with you on doing recalls promptly. I don’t fret or panic over them, its a part of owning complex mechanical/electronic machinery. My FJR had a major recall where they had to replace 2nd gear. Big job! The Roadmaster I had (traded for a 2021 Goldwing) had two major recalls, one of which hit my bike the day they sent the dealers a notice of the problem. Both are great bikes I would buy again. Even with the recalls, my next two up tourer will be the later model Honda Goldwing.

I've got a 2921 Goldwing trike (no ground effects!) and the nearest Honda Goldwing dealership that I trust for repairs is in Tennessee from McDonough, GA. I'll wait until later this year to get the work done. 🏍️ Thanks for the info Rich 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

I'm in agreement with you Rich, I'm not worried about something imminently happening, but I'm not going to sit on a safety recall and pretend a failure couldn't happen to me. Recalls happen, I'm glad Honda is taking care of business, no I'm not planning to get rid of the Goldwing. I'm out on the dirt bike all year. I had great ride yesterday with some of the crew before the snowstorm hit us up here in CT.... Now I got to go snow blow 😶

Why did it take so long for Honda admit they had issues with the bolt. I sold my 2023 DCT. That was my choice and as an owner of 6 previous Goldwing motorcycles, I was really disappointed with their lack of customer service

Just watched the morning news this Wednesday morning. Betting you aren't ridding this morning. Snow on the ground! You may be living vicariously through those of us along the Ohio River. We have about two or three inches of snow on the ground with the weather in single digits.... So much for global warming.
