My 2023 has not been affected by either of the recalls. I love this machine. Technically it's the most advanced I've ever owned. I am continued to be amazed by the performance. I'm not concerned, but that is only my opinion. Thanks for this video Rich and Ride Safe friend !

@@robertwhitemoto Great attitude to have Robert. Worrying about it is definitely not going to change anything. What a friend said to me is appreciate the fact that they are willing to rectify it. Thanks for watching and commenting Robert. Ride safe.

Good video. I wouldn't say Honda dropped the ball. So far we have had 2 recalls on a vehicle that has been out since 2018. And if you have a 2022 or newer, I don't believe any of the recalls effect them. What I worry about is manufacturers that recognize a problem and don't issue a recall.

I guess that is true. Suzuki M109R suffered from 2nd gear failure for many years And never did a recall ❤..

I was also disappointed with the way Honda has handled the whole recall issue. There has been rumors about this for almost a year now.

My 2023 Goldwing Tour has not been affected by the recalls..My previous 2018 Goldwing went 78,000 miles before I sold it before said recalls came out..I purchased the 2023 for the Tour package for the girlfriend. Moved said Tour box back several inches for comfort...Its way too close in stock configuration...I'm a big boy..

Don't worry about recalls, worry when you don't have recalls. When Honda first released its then premier motorcycle, the Cub, they quickly learned that the clutch assembly was deficient. Soichiro Honda issued a recall. In that instance, repairs were made at the customer's discretion and at the location and time of their choice. It's rumoured that Soichiro himself replaced some of the deficient assemblies. A Goldwing is not a high volume product. It stands to reason that it has taken a lot of time for Honda to establish that they've either got a design problem or a defective component installed in this bike, especially when it would appear that the fault is not prevalent in low mileage vehicles. And keep in mind, these are 3-6 year old bikes that Honda are repairing. Many manufacturers would have turned their back on their customers at this stage citing "normal wear and tear" and "timed life" as a justification for the inadequate engineering. For my mind, this just further cements my wanting a Goldwing in my mind. Yes, it's disappointing that you're going to be without your bike for a time, but really, it's Rolls Royce service from days gone by that they're offering. KTM, Moto Guzzi, are you watching?

Honda did not drop the ball. We are talking bikes mostly manuals with over 100K miles on them. Also, using lower quality oil will affect internals and bolts. We are more worried about crap mechanics who will botch bolt replacements.
