@@TomAsay64 Thanks for the tip, will definitely check it out. What kind of process do you use for restoring the parts visually once you recondition them?

@@johanaronstedt8186 I used sandpaper, 3M pads, a grinder, and polish. I’ll have that video up soon.

How is the axle on the right side able to slide after tightening the left? Or are you actually moving the fork leg out slightly to measure the caliper bracket distance from rotor?
@TomAsay64 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I am moving the fork out to make room for the feeler gauge, then tighten the axle holder cap.

Sorry for the questions, on the left side, when you installed the caliper bracket, did you just visually look and make sure it's centered on the rotor, or measure as well with the same feeler gauge?
@TomAsay64 Жыл бұрын
@@bigleftlcn I did check but I believe you can only adjust the right side.

I saw no mention of the feeler gauge adjustment?

Honda are known to use JIS screws. They look like Philips screws but they dont have the same depth and angle.
@TomAsay64 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info, I thought something like that was the case. The screw was already in bad shape when i went to remove it. Unfortunately I do not own any JIS screwdrivers or tips - yet. Thanks for watching!

So when do you torque the axle nut?
@TomAsay64 Жыл бұрын
Any time before tightening the right fork to the axle.
