In my opinion, Cruising speed is more important than the top speed of any motorcycle, and 80-90Kmph is enough cruising speed in our country where the speed limit is 80-100kmph for highways.

It's not underpowered for the 180cc class but for the price it is a raw deal. You could get an ns 200 for this price with better acceleration and top speed. Honda always messes up the pricing.

@@akshityadav1235 can't argue about that. My experience with Bajaj has been good. Had a discover 125 that did 1 lakh kms without problem. Currently have a duke 200 which has crossed 50k kms no problems. Just regular maintenance is all it needs.

No where Honda is claiming this as 200 cc segment. This engine falls very close to 180 cc segment can be compared with Pulsar 180 and RtR 180. This has best in class power figure, even rtr 200 cant match it's performance from 0 to 60 and 0 to 100. After 100 kmph it's slightly looses it's steam. Honda has given perfect blend of performance and commuting machine to Indian customer. Cons is it's pricing as it is priced slightly more than rtr 200 which gives more features . Honda is slightly expensive when compared to Bajaj and TVS , but you will never regret of putting some extra cash on Honda. Many of them complaining it doesn't have oil or liquid cooling , it's engine compression ratio is 9.5: 1 so air cooling is fine. It's mileage is 45 kmpl , after first service there Will be slight improvement . You will be happy with both it's performance and efficiency.

Bro comparing this to pulsar 180 is like comparing fz150 to r15v3. Similar in cc but price is drastically different. At the end of the day cc doesn't matter. It's your budget that matters. Pulsar 180f will give similar(better) top end performance to this, costing just 1.2 lakh on road. This will cost close to 1.5lakh. at that price (significantly lesser) one will buy either 220, which will easily defeat this, or Apache with similar build quality and features and slightly better performance.

Reliability of engine i would say. Owner of 2013 bs3 NS and sold it already. Best power machine ever had but reliability,refinemant and quality of material are far low what Honda and Suzuki offers.

Owner of this bike from last 8 months. Here are a few Pros and cons(First 3 months) Pros : 1.) Exceptionally good handling - you will just love to ride it in city or on highways. 2.) Superb Comfort - For Riders it's seat is very comfy but for pillion i ll give 8.5 out of 10 3.) Great for Cornering - If you live in a place where there is a lot of cornering , this bike will amaze you with the confidence it gives while cornering. 4.) Decent mileage - was 40-42kmpl of mileage before first servicing but they said it ll increase to 45+. 5.) Grabs attention - It's something new on Indian roads + it's golden USD forks looks amazingly sexy. 6.) Power - IT can beat any bike(under 200cc) in 0-70km/hr speed, even That Roaring Apache !! . Very strong mid range . Cruising speed is 90-100 without any vibration. Cons : 1.)NO ABS on rear disc - This was disappointing. The rear wheel does skids on heavy braking. Should have been there. 2.)Creepy sound from rear disc - Rear disc sounds like RAT while braking, however it got fixed after first servicing. 3.) Stiff Suspension - It has adjustable rear suspension which is pre fixed on stiffer side. But on positive it gives confidence while cornering. 4.) Headlights - Could have been better, specially in low beam. Many youtubers have posted issue with this bike like oil leakage or others... I didn't faced any such issue except that of sound from rear disc which got fixed after first servicing. and Yes it ll lose race against MT-15 or Apache but only in top range which is after 90km/hr probably and u don't need that in City even if u like to race !! haha P.S -- This bike is mature and seeks probably a mature rider who loves riding rather than speeding or doing drag race !! :) After almost 8 months - done 2000+ kms ) Additional pros :- 1.)Mileage increased to 45+ on a regular basis. 2.) Even after 8 months, people do ask about this bike often impressed by its looks. Additional Cons:- 1.) Need to install additional rubber mud guards in front wheel. Makes the engine really dirty in rainy reason along with body. Thankfully no stains on legs , but still engine looks really dirty after a ride.

@@URhistory23 True bro, Kick starter is not required.. But this Hornet 2.O is lacking the most important OIL COOLER to protect it's 184 Cc engine .. A Centrifugal engine oil filter has been given inside the clutch cover (Right Hand Side) of the engine. NO Paper type engine oil filter has been given in this 184 Cc bike.. PAPER TYPE ENGINE OIL FILTERS not only improve the engine oil's life with better filteration, they also avoid engine oil condensation.. If the ex-showroom price is 1.28 lakhs , How much this costs On road ??

@@nishanthsundhar9697 Literally there is no relation between a 5 speed gear box and an Oil cooling system.. Yamaha FZ25, TVS Apache RTR 200, Bajaj Pulsar 220 F and 180 F. All the above mentioned bikes are equipped with 5 speed gear boxes and Oil coolers..Even the Pulsar 160 NS and Apache RTR 160 4v are equipped with 5 speed gear boxes and oil coolers.. An oil cooler has great importance in the engine structure of higher Cc motorcycles to protect the engine from excessive heat ..

With 125kmph top speed your cruise speed will be somewhere between 80 to 85 kmph. You'll be bored af. Air cooling and box section swing arm. Nah. Only USD doesn't do the trick for me.

Iam using a first gen hornet which gives 42kmpl and a top speed of 124kmph. its almost 35k more than the previous version. I think the cost goes to the graphics as well as USD forks. Rest all remains the same. Not worth upgrade but first time bike buyers can think about it.

Only good thing is USD forks and nothing else 😞 Apache RTR 200 4V for 1.30 lakhs offers oil cooled 200cc engine, slipper clutch, dual channel ABS, radial tyres, Bluetooth smart connect, etc. Honda want to make huge profits 😡

@@sumitchelluru No its not a good tourer. I have 2018 hornet. It's pathetic on the highway. The engine redlines to quickly. For a comfortable ride, the best speed on that bike is 80 to 85 anything more than that it turns into a gas guzzler + you can feel the bike taking a beating. I expect the same with this version also despite it having 20 odd extra hp. The old version also does 120 kmph on a flat plane if u push it all the way just like this bike. Please do not get this if u plan on cruising at 100.

@@mos4996 did you ride a 185 hornet. Hornet is a very good tourer comfort...reliability.. mileage.. cruise speed of 90. It's 160 CC. At the same time CBR 250R was also available that's honda tourer. Hornet is a commuter that can be used as a tourer not a dedicated tourer

@@arvindfluidic honestly I don't think it's that bad I mean after all it's honda..u get fuel efficiency, services are not that costly and in general build quality is better compare to hero and bajaj.I am just not satisfied with the graphics and little bit on performance side apart from that honda has made a smart move by making it a 180 cc bike which can compete with 200cc.If you are looking to buy a naked street bike in 160-200cc range you should definitely take test ride and dicide it by yourself and don't take this reviews seriously 😀

Totally agree man. I own 1st gen Hornet and I don't see the value in upgrading to 2nd gen. As u said the graphics are too much and for that price the horse power could have been better with dual channel ABS.

My husband is looking for a bike for city & long ride (planning to go to Ladakh and Sach Pass). He has shortlisted two bikes and confused. 1. Royal Enfield Classic Gunmetal Grey: Muscular look and vintage feel but got feedback that this is not reliable machine. Some and other parts demands continous repairing. 2. Bajaj Dominar 250: A complete package with all modern facilities but Bajaj bikes have bad name of producing noise after couple of years. 3. Yamaha FZ25: Yamaha engine has lowest failure rate. You can trust this machine on long rides. Please share your feedback, so that it can help to take decision.

It's faster to 60 than an Apache 200 and has so much better handling and gives more milage than an Apache 160 while staying as cool as a tvs star city and people crying about the price. It's such a wonderful bike! And it gives back a milage of above 50 with a similar top speed as an Apache.

Proud owner of the original first version of the 160cc hornet, am happy than still il'll dont sell it yet, because the bike looks very muscular, its true than the design was outdated and honda decided to upgrade almost in everything, the weird thing than will happen here where i'll live (Mexico) is than honda will not canibalize the sells of the CB190R introducing the hornet 2.0, so i'll doubt than honda decides to shoot in his own foot, overall the new version looks good, specially that led blinkers, i'll want them for my own bike, the new variant have better torque, good for his purpose (City riding and occasional highway), the only thing than i'll dislike of the H2.0 is the rim design, preffer the design of the H1.0, in my humble opinion, looks more cool. overall the H2.0 looks great.
