Thank you for this, I followed your instructions and it worked perfectly. I appreciate the attention to detail and practical solutions (using hands instead of a spudger). Fixed it in under 10 minutes!

thanks for your vid it helped me I want to install a constant 12 volt port and I want to put it next to it but didn't want to break the panel thanks again !

With my issue the only message I was getting was low key battery warning. Nothing with anti theft came up. This one is a 2017 model. ‘Might be different with newer models?

On our Honda the dealer replaced the switch. Later the clutch switch (manual) and finally the starter. Each time the problem returned after a while and reached the point where the car would not start at all. It appear that the previous repairs only seemed to work because the battery was disconnected and that reset something. We can now start the car for a while after disconnecting the batter for a few minutes. Anybody got any thought on this? The dealer seem useless on the issue.

That's amazing that the dealership didn't know how to fix it. Sometimes I think they are just trying to get you to buy a new car.

There used to be a warrantee extension for this, so should absolutely know about it. All it actually needs is a cleaning between the rubber contacts behind the switch with some alcohol if you don't want to buy a new part.
