Honda Insight Hybrid 2021 Detailed Owner's Review in Pakistan / Drive, POV & Ownership Experience

In this detailed owner's review of all new Honda Insight 2021, we are going to review its interior, exterior and take it for a test drive as well. It's 0-100 test has shown that it has some serious low end torque due to the hybrid engine. Honda Insight 2021 produces 151 HP & 267 NM of Torque that takes it from 0 to 100 KM/H in under 8 seconds.
Furthermore, we have also covered it's ownership experience, cost of importing this JDM car into Pakistan along with it's fuel average. So far, the owner of this car has driven it 4000 KMs and they have tested it on highway and city traffic.
The combined fuel average of Honda Insight hybrid (according to owner) is 23-25 KM/H. Being a hybrid car, it's fuel average drops to 20 KM/L on Highways as the engine is engaged more often.
Just like our other reviews, we'll also test its cabin insulation and compare it with other cars that we've tested so far. Furthermore, a Point of view (POV) drive is also included in this review to show driver's visibility and blind spots.

Sonata is much much slower than insight though. Its 0-100 is somewhere in the 9 range, where as insight is in the 7 range. On top of that you are getting an awesome fuel economy due to being hybrid. So preference ki baat hai, sonata beats insight as far as comfort and features are concerned, but insight is not only faster, but also more economical.

2.5 Sonata's 0-100 is more like 11 than 9. Not to mention the overall pick is quite disappointing. I would pick the insight over sonato anyday of the week. Better driving experience, better economy and equal if not better features. JDM economy tier cars are generally way superior than Pakistani market luxury ones

Sonata is the main hyndai model so there is no comparison between these if you really want to do it so do with sonata vs accord vs camry than you will know which is better camry accord is way better than sonata in all over the world

Yes you can run it on petrol but it’s advisable to replace the battery in case it is no longer usable.

@@BBOverDrive I don't think that's true. Insight isn't a conventional hybrid like Prius etc. It's motor drives the engine for which the battery is critical. So as far as I know, the car would not remain functional without a working battery.

@@AmmarMalik Kindly listen to what the owner is saying. There are other variants and grades which are available even more than 7.5 million. The model under review is the middle one, means there is one more cheaper variant than this. He got it for around 6.5 million rs.

For the leg room and headspace in rear The insight has almost the same body structure as the civic x till the center pillar. The readon for it being they had to compensate a bigger engine into the car. But still the japanese manufacturing is way better than the local ones

Sonata over Insight any day of the week!! Although former doesn't offer that many features but all the sensing features in my opinion and experience are a hassle in Pakistan. You rarely use em. Even on motorways people are increasingly driving rash style which risks it more!

Agreed, plus I don’t know why but sonata’s over all styling is quite amazing and unorthodox unlike other options the industry has to offer. Plus the 2.5 litre variant is a powerhouse and best suited to my needs

I am sure the insight is better than the 2.5 sonata plus, it will get better mileage compared to sonata as it is hybrid, but the sonata has a dealer network and parts and maintainance will be easier for sonata

Definately sonata is better Ppl talking about economy but forget that insight was flop in pakistan previousely and still no parts available. Also, u cant use functions in insight cux they are all in japanese language, even cant use settings menu in speed o meter, where as sonata has everything in english, u can use apple car play and android auto very easily

What about Hybrid car values depreciation issue. Batteries have a life and after that they need to repaired or replaced, that huge maintenance cost can never be recovered in resale. That's what killed Prius sales in Pakistan ultimately. Suggestion: Maybe you guys can cover the issue of hybrid car maintenance issues in Pakistan, best places to get maintenance done etc. because Honda will rip one off if you take a JDM hybrid there. I love the fact that JDM has higher quality that local manufactured vehicles but somehow people runaway from buying them used. Maybe if people knew about JDM hybrid car maintenance local manufacturers can be challenged to produce better quality due to sales of JDM cars.

If you buy a 6.5 M car almost compatible to civic, only that it is hybrid car and wl safe few bucks to you and has few more functions, then y not to buy a civic or Grande in 4.5 M and save 2 M to invest anywhere. Believe you me monthly profit on 2 M wl be much more than the total petrol amount you spend on this car in a month. That way your civic or Grande is like an energy free vehicle to you. Another point is y to increase the risk level by placing more money on road side, instead of keeping it safe in bank or in shares. Last but not the least this car worth 6.5 M is 2to 3 yr old used car, and used car is always a used car. Instead one must go for brand new.
