Honda Jazz (Fit) Mk1 (2002-2008) - Reverse Parking Sensor Kit Install

In this video we attempt to install an aftermarket reverse parking sensor kit from CISBO onto a 2003 Mk1 Honda Jazz.

The sensor starts beeping from about 1 metre away and progressively gets faster until there's a constant beep at about 30cm.

Very neatly installed. How is the kit performance for low height obstacles? Like 12” in height

I don't know as haven't tested it. But it works well with other cars, walls etc

Interesting info, is that the smaller 18.5 sensor kit? They look more factory then the bigger ones

I found the same adjustable kit on eBay as the Amazon one had sold out, pre-coloured silver and put them on my VW Passat Estate, fitting was easy enough. I did find I had a problem when first installed though, whenever I put my foot on the brake it stopped the sensors working, I found all the lights on my car have a combined earth through the cluster so I cured the problem by running the negative wire from the Cisbo box directly to to an earth point I made on the car body

Yes probably but much easier with the bumper off

Yes by the look of it in the video. I must have installed at least 4 parking sensors in my cars in the past and managed to do without taking off the bumper. Here it is definitely possible looking at the video. You just need a long wire, a roll of string, a bright flashlight and some tape. Railroad first the wire through the sensor hole to the point inside the car and pull a separate length of string through each of the sensor hole and finally attaching the sensor wire to the string pull them in to the car. Easily done. Use the flashlight to see under that bumper to plan your routing of wire, string and finally the cables.

This may be a silly question but did you have to earth the parking sensor when connecting to the reverse light ?

No just connect +ve and -ve to the reversing lamp
