Honda K24 Ported Type S Oil Pump and Timing Chain DIY

Today we do a little "how to" video of setting the timing of the K24, installing a 50 degree VTG. Also doing a port job on the RSX type S oil pump.

Great idea to add baffling to the oil pan, it's a pretty simple solution to a pretty expensive problem.

Nice video man ! Are those engines non interference type ? With undoing that cam gear it spun the cam ! Do the valves hit pistons if spun over like that ?

That was also my fear when i saw it spin, might not seem like much but piston to valve smash with an impact could do damage

there is the datsunworks kn20, they cast 6 cylinder k heads for old datsuns. very pricey!

The body is straight the top is about 90%, no broken windows but it does need work. I need to find an interior for it. do you have any leads on anything like that. It runs. Some millennial kid owned it and destroyed the interior

The timing parts may have been expensive, but $400 in peace of mind parts is worth saving the headache and hassle of rebuilding or replacing an engine and ancillaries after catastrophic failure.

I can tell u replacing stock parts is not piece of mind , u need to upgrade the timing chain tensioner and and use upgraded timing chain guard a lot of your viewers are clearly rookies.

Just a critique video it would help if you would not leave out the most important thing which is to use a type S oil chain guide. Watch this video and get confused and use the k24 oil chain guide. Do better bro.
