I bet that mower was a LARGE chunk 0of change with all the extras. I had all that mess on the dead Deere I got the Kawasaki off of to go on the Snapper Bagger. I had to use parts of the blade clutch for the blade adapter because of different crank sizes between the Kawasaki and the Briggs. Still going. Thanks and BLESSINGS!

I removed the wrong pin (?) on the handle and cannot remember how it goes back. Everything is connected but the blade doesn’t activate.

My mower is different. It's the Honda hrx 217hya with hydrostatic transmission. Part number Honda 54530-VH7-000 Roto-Stop Cable. I don't see a pin to replace on mine at the top.

Well at least it wasn’t a burnt up clutch. That is why it is a good idea to lubricate your clutch at least once a season to make it live longer.

I would try slowing down, your walking pace , and see if that makes a difference, if so, then maybe your engine speed might need to be increased .

ah yes, move the lever at the handle bar, to full choke, then move down to the anchor screw for the cable and loosen it. remove the air filter cover and filter. Then move the cable by hand so that the choke flap is closed, then tighten the anchor. after that move the lever at the top and check that the choke is closes and opens according to where you move the lever. IF not, keep adjusting the cable in at the anchor.

Am I missing something? You are describing how to adjust the throttle cable and not the blade control cable? I need to adjust the blade control cable on my mower but haven't been able to find clear instructions on how to do so. If anyone could share this information that would be great

if you squeeze the handle for the blade, and the end of the cable doesn't move, near the clutch Assembly, then there's a problem.

This particular plastic deck is an HXA216 model but the other metal deck one was a commericial honda HTC216. Hope this helps out.

The lawnmower turns on but the blades won’t spin ( engage). How do you troubleshoot it ?

Tilt the mower all the way back, have someone watch the end of the cable near the clutch assembly while someone closes the handle for the blade.

@@HomeGaragechannel I have the same problem as Jesus Cabrera. The yellow button (blade control) keeps popping out unless I hold my hand over it while I'm mowing. Can you help me fix the problem? Or, at least point me in the right direction?

@@jbplays7302 okay I took a look at mine and it will require the entire enclosed mechanism to be take apart due to a part be broken inside. It's just easier if you replace the whole blade control box to fix it.
