Perhaps the most balanced practical bike ever made. My 700 is such a joy even after 5 years, I also have an FZ09/07, Triumph 1200 Thruxton and BMW F800R. The NC just does everything right.

Same here, my NC700S, 2013 has now 93000 km and runs like new. I don't baby it, however I do really take maintenance serious. So serious that I also have a NC750S, 2014 with now 20000 km. That gives me time to do things without rushing ( not that there's too much to do ) and have still transportation when needed. I sold my 2015 Z1000 in order to have a second NC. After 40 years on and off bikes I believe Honda has made the most versatile bike I can imagine. Ever ride is pure joy. Safe rides 👍🏍

Hey thanks for that and the positive feedback. A DR it definitely isn't. Gravel... dirt no problems but something like some 4wd tracks that I've been on in a few vids and you really suffer from poor ground clearance and lack of suspension travel. Otherwise it's great off road. I've got a set of decent tyres on it as well which helps. Cheers and thanks.... David.

Return rider here in California. Just bought a new 2018 NC750 without ABS or DCT. How is your gas mileage? I am realizing that the DCT version is probably more fuel efficient but more expensive . I like your radiator guard and mud flap.
@returnrider49525 жыл бұрын
G'day Vance - hope California is treating you well. Congrats on the NC - I hope you'll get many miles of enjoyable riding out of it. My mileage is about 400kms out of a tank if I push through reserve tank as well. I did 400kms on the weekend just gone and had 1.2ltrs left. I think the DCT is way more fuel efficient in normal ride mode (D I think it is). The mud flat and radiator guard are a must riding off road or even in the country side to keep crap out of the radiator. Good luck with it all, I hope everything goes great. Ride safe. Cheers

Wind noise on the highway not to bad mate. Have heard a lot worse on KZbin. Am returning to biking myself after 25 years. 47 years old now and these NC Hondas appeal a lot to me. Not looking for something to scare the living lights out of me. In NZ we don't have a lot of the ABS models. Do you think would be a good bike for 95% dry weather riding without the ABS? No off-road use.
@returnrider49525 жыл бұрын

Congrats on the NC :-) I'm currently running Shinko e705's front and gear. Really like them and very good value. Previously I had Pirelli MT60RS's front and rear. They were very good as well but many more $$$ than the Shinkos. I can recommend the Shinkos tho. They're really good on road and do pretty well off road as well. Deep gravel and sand are always a bit of a challenge but on the dirt/gravel roads they perform pretty well. Hope your enjoying the bike. Ride safe. Cheers.

What size mesh (length and width and mesh spacing) and petrol pipe diameter did you use for the radiator guard? I'd like to make my own. Thanks.
@returnrider49525 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. The mesh is just standard gutter guard from Bunnings. I just measured the face of the radiator and cut the mesh to size. The fuel line is the small stuff... Not sure of the exact size but I can measure it if you need an exact size. Any size will do just so it keeps the mesh off the face of the radiator. I got a length from a spare parts store. Hey Mark. 110km's an hour is the top speed on roads that I ride - even freeways. I'd like to keep my licence and my life so I stick to that - the road is not a race track. It's OK. You can probably tell I get smacked in the top of the helmet with the wind if you've watched the section where I'm on the freeway.
