hello, I've got a bf75 and whats the difference between the low pressure filter 16900 and 16910 ? (it says both are for bf75 and 90)

For fuel filter 16910 - you do need to be careful what addition codes are added to the end / beginning as this can denote what application it’s used on and can be a completely different filter / part. For the difference between the two then, I’d say it could be flow rate, filtration level, the orientation of the filter input / outputs, it could just be a superseded part or used for a different application. The filter I used was p/n 16910-ZY9-004 You do need to be careful as some old Honda’s sound like they are bigger engines such as the BF75 from pre 1997 which is actually only 7.5hp. And so you could be lead into thinking that cheaper filter would work on a newer BF75 75hp. I guess really only get the parts you know actually fit, don’t try and find an alternative cheaper part as it may not in fact fit. Hope that makes sense.

@@MarineEngineServicing thank you for your answer. My honda bf75 is from 2017 so it's definitely a true 75hp and the filter 16900 finishes actually with the same number as yours (exactly : 16900-SA5-004) and it is a original honda part, its just that the 16900 is less expensive than 16910-ZY9-004. I think mine and the bf90 are almost the same motor basically in terms of mechanics. (Both are often associated) so I don't know which of those filters to choose. It's a kinda new motor so I didn't had the time to check really the one that's actually on it currently.

If in doubt I would go like for like if your engine has been performing ok. The engines within a family I.e 75, 90 etc are normally the same power head but could have different injectors, exhaust bore and mapping etc for the added power output.
