Did removing the exhaust affect performance or require any tuning?

Good for her to wrench on her own bike. After doing anything to the clutch always make sure it is tight enough to fully disengage the clutch or you will wear it down fast. I wouldn’t run it with NO exhaust on the end, you will get water down in there and it will rust out pretty bad. They make cheap shorties to give it a little angle and prevent water intrusion.

Downing the back pressure is good back pressure is just a negative consequence of emissions and silencing anything to reduce it is better for your engine and more performance

They make an awesome adjustable brake and clutch lever for that bike...on Ebay. That was the first thing I changed. I put a 2 finger clutch and brake on my 300..and it's soooo much easier.

That would be awesome, even my 1200 sportster 48 isn't the best for highways but we love the bikes on our back roads around here
