I’m 72. Bike #70. I need a light bike at my age. I put Viking medium bags on it. A luggage rack and a windshield. A seat will be next. Thx for this great video.

I love my Rebel 300cc being a brand new rider it has gave me so much confidence,, I ride side by side with my husband who has a Harley Sportster he has been riding since the 70s,, and he loves that I have my own bike now and don't half to ride with him,,

Rebel is such a fun way to learn! Low centre of gravity and low seat height really helped to feel comfortable and confident! Happy riding!! 😁

I just brought home a new 23 Rebel SE ABS. Your mods were almost exactly what I had in mind to give my girl a facelift. Thank u. Links to the items were super helpful.

I've only rode motorized bikes twice before; I loved it even though I was 8 on one of them and whiskey throttled and "crashed" the bike was on top of my foot it wasn't heavy and I was fine, I hopped back on and kept riding in the parking lot it was so fun. The other time was a friend's dirt bike. I am looking at the 2022 Honda rebel as my first bike, but I'd like to have $8,000-$10,000 in my pocket before I do buy it, and I need to get my drivers license first, but other than that I'd absolutely love to buy this

Nice! I'm thinking I should look into a new seat for those long rides. Tbh, it's probably the only modification I think the bike needs.

Thanks to loud bikes, pretty sure in Europe we are heading to having laws that prevent mods, ie if it's euro 4 or 5 it must stay that way to pass the MOT.

Less about loud bikes, more about too much government regulation.

The original Rebel 250 was one of the best looking bikes Honda ever made. I have owned four of them, starting with a brand new one in 1985. I was not a beginner, I started riding a dirt bike at age 8, and got my license at age 16 in 1975. In 1985 I was riding a 1980 Yamaha XS850 Special. But when I saw the little Rebel, I just had to have one. Small bikes can be fun to ride no matter how experienced you are. I eventually sold it. In 2001 I bought a 1996 model, kept it for a couple of years, rode the crap out of it, and sold it too. Then in 2008, during the great recession, I bought a 2004, and kept that for several years. Wound up giving that to my son in law. Then, in 2016, I saw videos of what Honda had done. I was absolutely disgusted that they had put the Rebel name on what has to be the most hideous motorcycle ever sold in the U.S. (with the Kawasaki Vulcan S coming in second) My local mom and pop Honda only dealer had a bunch of new 2015 and 2016 Rebel 250s, and they weren't selling. I immediately bought one, got it OTD for well under MSRP. I will keep this one. I am now 64, and have serious knee and hip joint problems. I had been riding a Yamaha XT225 dual sport bike around the AZ desert for many years. It got to the point where I could no longer get on or off of it without standing on something. Then I realized that I was no longer able to fix a flat tube type tire by myself out in the middle of nowhere. I parked the XT225, and eventually sold it. But I missed riding off road, something I had been doing since age 8. I started looking for a small street bike with a low seat and tubeless tires. The Rebel 300 was the ONLY one. So while I would never ride such a hideous monstrosity on the street, I decided it would be ok off road. I found a used 2019 non ABS model, put a heavy rubber flap on the rear of the front fender, a gravel guard on the radiator, an eBay rack on the rear fender, and perhaps my favorite accessory, an engine bash plate from T-Rex Racing www.t-rex-racing.com/2017-2020-Honda-Rebel-300-500-Skid-Plate-p/n27-20sp.htm to protect the engine cases from rocks. I'm planning to install side racks to attach saddlebags to. I need a way to carry more gas. That ugly tank doesn't hold enough gas for long trips out into the desert. I also plan to put MT60RS supermoto tires on it. I discovered that the Rebel 300 looks a lot better covered in dirt. It has sort of a Mad Max post apocalyptic wasteland look to it. It is basically a brand new factory made rat bike.

Increase the seat height…🤔 you could get a custom seat that’s higher. That’s probably the most cost efficient option or get a different higher suspension. Ur just be ok with the current seat height. Sorry that’s there’s no easy option.

I'm 6'2" (1.88m?)and run a 500. Legs feels a little cramped after 20 minutes, so I find myself with my heels on the pegs instead of the balls of my feet, doesn't feel or look like a Grom when you're on it I promise

The yushima exhaust is VERY VERY loud, it's that loud I can hardly hear my partner over our intercoms when talk. Some might say that's a good thing though. But over long distances it make they journey unpleasant. So where looking to change it for another type.

I don’t really like the look of that seat seeing one in person and the guy who owned the bike didn’t like it ether. He wanted one that looked a little more stock but better I looked around for him and found a mustang 84,000 that he really likes

The intro is kinda annoying is just fluff. Obviously if we're watching a video titled 8 best Honda Rebel modifications, we already know what the bike is (or at least already have a good amount of familiarity with it) and just want to know the mods off the bat...I'm watching the video for the mods, not for a history lesson on the bike. More stuff, less fluff.

Viking bags are a shit show for the Rebel. Viking knows that they are shipping them with the wrong hardware and they refuse to fix the issue. I had to heavily modify the mounting hardware that came with mine and I had to buy new metric bolts since it only came with SAE. I will never buy from Viking again. The bags are fine once installed but their careless attitude regarding hardware and mounting instructions is a deal breaker.

I'm curious why do people change the exhaust on their bikes? I used to live near a busy intersection and goddamn the bikes were annoying. No offense but goddamn annoying as shit, like a dog barking for no reason.
