@@OverzealousBrainiacever done carb adjustment after the straight pipe? Any tips for me? I have a VT750DC. Guy I bought it from str8 piped it. I get burbles on hard decel. Tonight I drilled out the carb to adjust the fuel mix, turned it 1 half turn and the idle up a bit and it still burbles on decel. I tried a whole turn and it still didn’t sound great

From my personal knowledge I'd say 100 miles looks like a 2.1 peanut tank from a Harley Sportster 48 which is what I had. You know what maybe more since my sporty had the 1200cc so probably like 150 miles

How did you get that thud sound? Any engine work? Cams? I have a 2002 shadow ACE vt750CD and it won’t thud like that. Beautiful sounding bike. Edit: the choppy thud sound to be exact. know you can increase the idle screw. Not sure if that’s what you did or if anything at all.

It’s a stock motor with just the single carb conversion and straight pipes. What might help the third sound is the tip of the straight pipes. In this short, we had the idle work because we were just playing around in the parking lot. Right now I turn the idle screw down almost to the point where it stalls so that way you can hear the thud more pronounced

Question, does turning it to a bobber take away performance? I’m sure it makes it lighter, I’m asking. I’m looking a a 07’ 750 Bobber. The triumph bob’s tank was too small for me.

As far as perforamce the bikes we own are tuned for this due to the exhaust and the carbs. Also the hardtail and Chris and I have helps in turns but no so much on bumps. But they are upgrade from the stock.

Not sure if she whines or not but all the sound on her comes from the exhaust and velocity stack. Get you some of that and you’ll love the sound
