Well I can tell you it sounds better then my shadow 1100 with the baffles removed,but I do get a wicked off power pop that almost sounds like a semi jake brake. I been thinking about putting those little dumper pipes.
@mikesrcgarage4 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy thanks! No matter what people say it's very hard to get rid of deceleration pops on Honda Vtwins it's annoying! You can change the pilot jets up a size and richen the AF mixture and you will probably still have them! Those shorties will make it even louder! My bike is the same way. The only reason you didn't hear them is because I was manipulating the throttle and not shutting it down all the way! It's a lil trick you learn which I'm sure you know! I honestly love the sound of a bike when it decels hard from high rpm and it just gurgles with no popping! Have a great day and ride safe bro! Enjoy!

Sounds amazing Brother!!! 🏍 V-Twins sound Sweet anyway. You just pulled Baffles?? On my older Bikes, that wasn't possible. It always required Muffler replacement - or REMOVAL. Which I did to my 87 Harley FXR 1240! One word - LOUD!!! But I was living in New York at the time, and People didn't always SEE Bikes.... 😖 .... Bro, if there was any practical means of quieting the Gear whine, that would sound remarkably like a 883 Harley!! REALLY sweet Bro! 😁 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
@mikesrcgarage4 жыл бұрын
Pulling the baffles on this bike requires tearing them out of the can along with the original back plate that has two very small exit pipes! After cutting all that out I had to fabricate a back plate to choke it down some for a lil back pressure which helps quiet decel pops which these bikes are known for and still has! The new plate has a inner plate which takes it from a 3 1/2" inch hole to a 1 3/4" inch hole which can be put on or taken off! If you look at the thumbnail pic you will see that the one I made has very small holes around the inner edge, they hold the other "baffle" in place which is actually just a smaller diamiter exit pipe for a "quieter ride" Look at the thumbnail pic on a video I did for the sound of this bike with the 1 3/4 exit pipe in place, it's about 3 months back! I like the gear whine lol, and Harleys are cool but I like the smooth sound of the Honda Vtwin as it rolls up the rpms! The gear whine is accentuated by the camera being mounted to the pipe which almost fell off! Lol! That's why I stopped the ride! Thanks bro take a look at that other videos thumbnail pic! And if your curious to see what it originally had look up 2002 Honda VT 750 Shadow Ace Stock exhaust to understand what was done! Yes jets have been massaged, AF mixture has been richened and it's running a UNI filter... ✌️😎👍 Enjoy my bro and be safe out there! 🙏🏻 Oh funny fact the bigger exit pipe was made from the bottom of a oscillating floor fan, and the inner ring that you can see in the other videos thumbnail pic is made from a burner cover on a stove! Lmfao! How's that for creative German engineering! 😆👌 You're not the only resourceful "poorman" lol! 👊😉 Thanks brother!

Sweet sounding bike. Only this is me on a full size motorcycle O__,O. Get it it’s upside down, yup I’m not allowed to ride anybody’ else’s bike due to I’ve nearly wrecked every one of them I’ve been on. I due have a micro mini chopper that I’m going to be putting a 1960’s Harley Davison dirt bike motor on. So I’ll be going from a 32cc to a 100cc motor. Lol 😂 and yes I’ve wrecked the lil bike about twice with the 32cc motor.

@@mikesrcgarage thanks for the advice Mike. Lol at least on a micro chopper I don’t have as far to fall 😂😂😂. I bought the micro about 4-5 years ago and my brother got the lil Harley 2stroke dirt bike in a trade probably 7-8 years ago. But he has a real Harley ( on his 2nd one now ) and he’s been after me to get a motorcycle for probably 30 years. He’d already had other motorcycles of different brands since back in late 80s and I nearly laid one of them down in 1992 Kawasaki 750 Vulcan on a Main Street here as road work was being done with a stripping machine to resurface it.
