Thanks for the video. The wind was pretty annoying haha, maybe do your next videos on days without wind, or put some cloth over the microphone part of your device to so it doesnt sound like that.

I don't remember what camera or phone I recorded this on but it was but I think it was before I had the ability to have a separate wind-protected microphone like I do now. I'm grateful for your patience. Thanks for watching!

Kinda late to this video. Thank you for making this easier than what I've been doing to clean my VT750CD. The sidearm was awesome. Just holster it and pull your shirt over when entering a business. Anyway, the way I've been doining my chain cleaning was way messier.

So do i measure just how much i can pull the chain downwards from where it lays, or do i measure starting with the chained pressed up as far as it goes to down as far as it goes?
@bikerbobcat Жыл бұрын
I start with the chain at rest and see how much it moves. Here's a good and quick video by Motorcyclist Magazine / MC Garage that explains it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHKZgIN9lMh5o9U Thanks for watching!

What are those stands you use to hold up the swing arms? I’ve been looking for something like that for my 02 ACE
@bikerbobcat2 жыл бұрын
I got these "Trackside Rear Paddock Stand" from Cycletrader for about $100. They work really, really well and have held up to the elements (everything lives outside here) and I would absolutely buy them again! Here's a direct link, I'm not sponsored or kickbacks or anything. www.cyclegear.com/accessories/trackside-rear-paddock-stand?sku_id=1127303 Thanks for watching! Hope this helps.

I thought that 3/4 inch was too tight. The spec was the tightness. Anything more than 3/4 inch is okay. am I backwards with that..?
@bikerbobcat2 жыл бұрын
According to the Haynes Owners Workshop Manual for the VT750, drive chain slack is 15-25mm or 5/8 - 1in. 3/4in is in the middle of that. If it moves much MORE than 3/4 in it's too loose. If it moves much LESS than 3/4in then it's too tight. 3/4in +/- a little is the ideal spot. Make sure you adjust your rear axel evenly. Thank you for watching!

Hell then you're miles ahead of me on this. Motorcycle mechanic is just like auto mechanic but only half the wheels. I do HVAC to pay the bills. Glad I could help. XD

nice job, bro... what kind of stand are you using? i have a shadow rs750.. thank you.

I'm using the Trackside Paddock Stand from Cyclegear. I got it on sale for like $60 I've had it outside with the bike for like 3 years and the wheels are finally starting to crack and split just a little. I don't have a garage so it is what it is. The stand is really good though and it still works 100%.

@@bikerbobcat BTW, do you use any special stuff to hold on any sidearms? Thanks for tips, bro
@bikerbobcat4 жыл бұрын
If by 'sidearms' you mean firearms, I don't carry any yet but the bag I use as a camera bag was designed as a holster and from the other customer reviews works really well. I just use it for a camera. It's the Maxpedition Fatmax Versipack. My review is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYPOhJmrqdSGorc&t If you didn't mean firearms, my apologies but otherwise I'm not sure what you mean! My saddlebags just had some cheap universal stays on them and it worked pretty well. I cut all that stuff off though.

@@bikerbobcat sorry my bad. i mean the swing-arms... now i figured that your stand is universal and that the hook holds the swingarms and it is adjustable... thanks and stay safe!

Thanks for your answer my man !!! To tight up chain do I need to lift up back tire???
@joej4335 жыл бұрын
Would be easiest
@bikerbobcat5 жыл бұрын
Joseph is right it's just an arm on a spring. No hoses. For the chain I lift up the back wheel. At first I just used a 2x6 board to pick it up now I have a proper stand. You can do it! :D

I'm looking at getting another Shadow 750 and starting the build series up again. I took off all the custom parts I put on this one and they're sitting in a crate ready to go. Not a priority just yet. Money better spent on a vacation to Japan as soon as the pandemic winds down enough. $_$
