Thank you for another excellent video,i would love to see you do a video of your floorboard installation,did you have to do any modifications on those?I am trying to find a cheaper option,but will probably be better off just biting the bullet and getting a pair of cobras or something.seems with cheaper universal ones alot of people complain not enough space between floorboard and shifter,i have seen offset adapters that seem like would solve that but not sure,thanks
@dwcoffey Жыл бұрын
These floorboards came from Motorcycle Enterprises, which is sadly out of business now. These fit perfect. Thanks for watching.

Nice extra chrome cover you mentioned at 1:58. I have sane bike. Where did you get it from ? Also the center V shape cover on the choke knob. Thank you..

Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, they don't make them anymore...at least I can't find them.

in the video it doesn't look like there's enough clearance in the case to go to a 1 tooth larger counter sprocket on the 750 ace, did it look that way to you also?
@dwcoffey2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I've never done it, but I've heard several people say they went from the 17 tooth factory front sprocket to an 18 tooth with no mods and no trouble.

Thx for posting.m. I find 8f not changing sprocket, just attach new chain to old chain at master link, as you pull old chain off, new chain is pulled on....done. I like you vid. Thx

@dwcoffey8 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, Johnny! It came from a company called Motorcycle Enterprises, they had a lot of accessories for the ACE bikes. Unfortunately, they are not in business anymore.

What kind of jack stand do you use and where do you jack it up at? Anything special? Great videos
@dwcoffey3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Todd! Here's the jack I use: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2i7hWt5mt2Mgbs Since Sears is gone, this particular one isn't around anymore, but there are several made exactly like it. They usually run anywhere from $125-$160 or so depending on whether or not they're on sale and who is selling them. I place mine right under the flat part of the frame, from the right side, under the engine/tranny.

What brand chain did you buy? Have you changed the sprockets?
@dwcoffey2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Lucas! The last chain I bought was a Max Motorsports. I've used D.I.D. and Niche chains in the past. All with decent results. I have not changed the sprockets on my bike, but will probably need to next time I change chains.

Thanks Dennis. How many miles do you get per chain? Original sprockets?
@dwcoffey4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Jerry! I do have the original sprockets, but need to replace them next chain change. I currently have about 38000 miles on by bike. I get about 10,000 miles per chain.

No, no, you need to change the chain and the sprockets at the same time!!
@dwcoffey10 ай бұрын
If the sprockets aren't beyond their wear point, you don't have to change them with each chain. I will wear out 4 or 5 chains before I change my sprockets. Thanks for watching!
