No joke on the breaking. This bike stops wayyy faster than you think it’s going to. Really helps you ride the bike much quicker.

Owned a 2013 VFR120F for a couple years now. Bought with 462 miles. Now 10,100 miles. Cross country trips. My realistic dream bike still. Im 250 lbs. Suspension was built for a 175 pound rider I think. Got it cranked up so it rides ok. My fault for being a little too big. Maybe when I'm 195 lbs.... Its a very sporty touring bike. Im afraid to test ride the new cross tour ones because I might like it better. In fact I know Id like it better. But my black one is so wicked lookin and fast fast.

Having finally purchased my dream bike the VFR800 6th Gen, this would compliment the perfect collection, however my choice would remain in manual gearbox.

You do notice its shaft drive if you smack it it lifts up and spins up also doesn't like riding slow you can feel the back lash in its shaft in low gears like you can with a chain
@djyoz90575 жыл бұрын
Totally agree i have one but it is let down from the drive line back lash
@Aberamentho20105 жыл бұрын
There was a recall on the driveshaft that should've taken care of that.

@@Aberamentho2010 Nah, I have a 2015 and it's still lashy
@Aberamentho20103 жыл бұрын
@@Soulrollsdeep : Lashy? Yes it definitely can be if you're in a low gear at low speed. To remedy that you just need to be up 1 in a higher gear. A few of the old reviewers even mentioned that as the way around the lash. It does work for me. Surprised some owners never figured that out.

I bought the DCT and it is fantastic in the city commute in D. In S it becomes a rocket on the Hwy. I don't do trips longer than 3 hrs one way so it is perfect. Best thing I ever ridden on a hwy, high winds no problem.
@isaiahvillarreal45123 жыл бұрын
I ride a vfr800 . 20mph cross winds in So Cal desert knock me about with ease. So a heavier mc is the way to go. We get up to 30 to 60mph winds I just want to know what wind speed makes you take the car instead. Gold wings and Harleys seem to be 55mph. Btw I ride 200 / 300mi daily for work.
@klrrafman3 жыл бұрын
@@isaiahvillarreal4512 I go kiteboarding with all the gear loaded on the bike. I used to own KLR650 dual sport and it was horrible. VFR1200 in 35 miles doesn't give me a reason to slow down. I haven't gone out in higher than that, though.
@isaiahvillarreal45123 жыл бұрын
@@klrrafman thanks. I work as a mc courier. Splitting lanes all day in LA and surrounding counties. I moved to the desert, the high winds are scary, also serve documents around the Joshua tree area and a KLR would be awesome for that.

hmmm, I wonder how it would go as a step-up from a 22 year old CBR1000F? The look is a little different, but as the bike the killed the Blackbird... I might have to take a good look at one.

this is a good bike and it's a Lil on the high side of money but the only way you can say if you like it or not is to get one and ride it or even test ride one one thing for sure is the paint looks great

Triumph Sprint GT SE, BMW R1200 RS, VFR 800, Honda CBF 1000F. And no, I haven't decided yet. I don't need to make my mind up until next summer when I have the balance saved to go with the Triumph America LT I expect to part ex.

I decided to keep my cruiser and ended up buying a 2013 GSX650F as a commuter to go with it. It wasn't my first choice but i got it at such a stupidly low price, I'd have been mad to turn it down.
