I have a 2010 DTC and it's an incredible bike. I got it after putting over 100k miles on my VFR 750 (which I still have). The power difference is pretty awesome. No other motorcycle like these on the road. Perfect for me!

I agree with you 100%. It’s also a lot more powerful than a FJR or the Concours but not as roomy and smaller panniers. I would take off my panniers and ride with liter bikes and Hayabusa’s all day with no problems what so ever never felt like it was outclassed. Then put the panniers back on pick up four full grocery bags full of food etc.. Then take a 100 mile trip to my families house etc. perfectly size and 170hp do anything bike. I think the the closest thing now would be the H2-SX but I bet the Vfr1200f engine has more torque in the low to midrange which makes it so enjoyable. Thanks for your input😀👍

I know what you mean…it’s a fascinating bike..it’s been a couple years now since I traded in my VFR1200f…I still miss it..I remember how it felt in my hands it’s so weird I can’t even remember what my current bikes feel like in my hands. I currently own a ZX14r a VMAX 1700 and a Streetglide. In a way the VFR1200f is like a mixture of those three bikes..Hyper bike horsepower like the ZX14r..powerful torquey V4 engine and shaft-drive like the VMAX and saddlebags and long distance comfort like the Streetglide. I bought those three bikes after I traded in my VFR1200f really the VFR1200f does it all. But no it’s not quite as fast as the ZX14r it is however faster than the VMAX 1700 and almost as quick only a .1 sec off to 60 and the quarter mile that’s virtually identical. Also it’s not as comfy as the Streetglide but it’s panniers are bigger and more practical for real world items..hope you can experience owning one it’s quite a treat..make sure to get one with the matching factory panniers..they are incredible..or take the off and run with the big boys…thanks for watching and commenting 😀👍

Thanks for the excellent review. 8K servicing is outstanding! - I may have said it before, the British Royal protection guys and girls use VFR1200F's, they need to slice through London Traffic at warp speed, after the Metropolitan Police tested numerous brands, they picked the Honda VFR1299F's for their performance, handling and reliability.

I think Honda gave the Met Police a bloody good deal to generate sales. I have had two of these, one regular gear change and one DCT. Honda shafted early buyers by initially charging £1300 for three cases … then mid 2010 gave them away free ! Don’t ask me how I know 😢.

I'm 53 and I really like mine. Yes there are flaws with the bike ......range and comfort. I replaced the factory bars with risers, added a deflector on the windshield (looks terrible but functions great) and a better seat. My wife and I do long trips on the bikes so, it needs to be comfortable. The sacrifice on range and comfort is well worth it! Our longest day was from Lake Placid, NY to Wasaga Beach, ON, Canada on secondary roads when possible (about 12hrs with food, gas...). Enjoy.

I swapped my ST1100 for a VFR1200F and have it for one week now. Very impressed by this bike. Also it surprised me that after 2.5 hr drive my but did not hurt. I always paused after 2 hours on my Pan European. Fuel consumption is higher though but so far absolutely no regrets. What a beast and the handling is so easy. However when parking my bike in the garage the steering circle is wider than the Pan, actually surprsed by this ... During touring, driving slower, gives more pressure on the wrists but still not too bad. Wish you many more happy kilometers, I know I will enjoy it for the years to come 👍🏻

Excellent comment thank you. I think I owe it to you to tell you I traded in my VFR1200F for a new 2018 Harley Streetglide. It was a knee jerk reaction because my close friend died on his sportbike and I had it in my head he must have been riding aggressively as a result. I found out months later he wasn’t speeding and that it could have happened to anyone. A very elderly driver made a U turn on the opposite lane right in front of him!!! I really enjoy my Streetglide but I miss my VFR1200F more than any other bike Ive owned so far. Sorry for the long explanation. Yes the turning circle is wide for the VFR I’m thinking even my Streetglide makes tighter turns!!! All in all very few flaws with the VFR1200F. I never went more than a 100 miles without stopping on that bike. About one hour is the longest I’d ever go. Wouldn’t be surprised you could go a couple hours on it with no fatigue. But it never did any long trips on that bike. I bought it because I was commuting about 20-30 miles each way to work mostly highway during rush hour. I needed to be able to carry items on bike at higher speeds than my cruiser. I also really loved how good the bike looked with or without the hard cases. I would ride about 50% of the time without cases. I would ride with the most powerful sportbikes in traffic and easily kept up or surpassed them. Only a couple bikes made can do that. Bmw K1300 but Honda is just as fast and handles better and smoother engine. The new H2 SX but it doesn’t have the low down engine torque and it is very pricey plus potential reliability problems with the supercharger. There still isn’t a better sport tourer than that bike IMO if you want to ride hard...Very impressive. Thanks for watching.

@@paulkmaster3231 Hey man I have ridden the H2 SX a couple of times and I think the low down torque is pretty good, plus it spins up so fast that you are up in the rev range most of the time anyways :) Now that the H2 SX has been out for 5 years I have seen several of them above 55 000 miles and I have not heard much bad about reliability concerning the supercharger. A couple more years you should be able to buy H2SX bikes for cheap, there are already bikes going for below 14 000 dollars. The VFR1200F is still a solid option though but I like tech like cruisecontrol on my sporttouring bikes :)

@@mathias6423 thanks for watching and commenting. Well it’s been awhile now since I owned the Vfr1200f but I do have very fond memories of it. It’s kinda a long story why I got rid of it. I traded it in for a Harley Streetglide but latter I missed the Vfr1200f and so I also bought a 2020 Kawasaki ZX14r. To take its place. I felt right at home on the ZX14r it was no big difference in power or torque vs the Vfr1200f which is a testament to the Vfr1200f. Now I’ve never ridden the H2 SX to be honest but I’ve seen roll on power tests with the H2 SX vs the ZX14r and the ZX14r just simply walks right past the H2 SX. It’s this torque that I crave so much and why I’m not likely to get rid of ZX14r any time soon if ever. I would love to see the Vfr1200f go head to head against the H2 SX. I’m pretty sure the Vfr1200f would take it on a top gear roll on till eventually the H2 SX would overtake. I think 0-60 times on the VFR are quicker 2.7 sec vs 2.98 for the H2 SX 1/4 times are extremely close as well 10.07 for the H2 SX vs 10.17 for the VFR1200f. The VFR has shaft drive which is just one more reason that makes it easy to maintain. The cruise control is a huge advantage and I agree could be a deal breaker when deciding between the H2 SX vs anything else. Again thank you for commenting

Being a VFR 800 owner and admirer of the species, I’m still miffed Mr. Honda couldn’t tweak out the functional and aesthetic quirks of the 1200 before it was pulled from production. Undoubtedly, they’re excellent bikes to buy now that barely used and languishing floor models sell for a song, but why they never really sold in the first place isn’t that much of a head-scratcher. I do hope Honda learns from their hubris and doesn’t give up on the V-4 sport-tour category.

Lovely to see a video review from a long term owner. I think one will be my next bike, but with an ECU flash to open her up a bit. It's a monster anyway, but an extra 20 or so horsepower and no restrictions in gears wouldn't go amiss.

Hi Paulk, I hope you and the Mrs. are doing well. Quick question, did you do the valve check /adjustment on your VFR1200F? If so, was it out of spec? Just curious.
@paulkmaster3231
@paulkmaster3231 Ай бұрын
Well long story. I took it to Rick Case Honda here in south Florida. Spent $1500 to do valve adjustment and rear brake pads because they said it needed it. Picked it up a couple days later and while I was riding I hit the rear brake but the brake pedal just bottomed out😳 They forgot to “pump up” the rear brake after pads were replaced I thought. I was pissed off. I asked them if they test rode the bike to make sure everything was all right. I questioned if they even did the valve adjustment at all. They said they did and they have video evidence to prove it. I said great let me see the footage. Well they showed me a technician by my bike in fast foward never remove any panels off the bike to gain access to the engine. I said you can’t adjust the valves without removing the panels so how could you have done the job? They insisted they did and said they will give me a $200 gift card to keep me happy. I said keep it. I’m never coming back. So I never adjusted the valves and shortly after that incident I traded the VfR1200f for a Brand new at the time 2018 Harley Streetglide. I missed the VFR1200f but couldn’t find any that was as nice as mine was. I kept the Harley Streetglide but added a new at the time 2020 ZX14r someone totaled that bike in the parking lot at work(It was parked) hit and run but we had the guy on video. So ended up getting a 2024 ZX14R 40th anniversary and got a matching 2024 ZX6R for my wife🙄 So I guess it took two bikes to fill the place of the VFR1200f😂 But I’m happy with this combination so far for the last 4 years now. So yeah getting back to the valve adjustment. I’ve heard people say don’t mess with it unless you actually hear louder than normal valve lash sounds. If had to do it over again I would just do it myself. I would save over a thousand dollars and at least know for sure that it was done.

@@paulkmaster3231 Thank for the reply old friend! Oh gosh, what a horrible experience!!!! I guarantee that they didn't to the valve check. Glad you found a quality plan B to replace the VFR though. The problem I'm having is justifying spending $1,700 for the valve check/adjustment on a $5,000 bike with 22,600 miles on the clock. That price tag comes with new oil, spark plugs, radiator flush, and throttle body sync. After reading your reply I'm not sure that I trust any mechanic at this point. The old girl is still running like a top so I'm not sure how necessary it actually is. That being said, I've had my eye on an Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory that has all the electronic bells and whistles that you could ever want, minus heated grips. From what I've been reading it's one of the most reliable motorcycles to come out of Europe. All the reviews say it's one of the best all around motorcycles on the road. It does have a maintenance schedule, but not near as bad a Ducati (which are junk in my opinion). Bottom line is, I've never spent the $,$$$ to do a valve adjustment on any motorcycle that I've ever owned (around 20 motorcycles) and am not sure if it's even worth it on this $5K bike... Tell the wifey I said hello!

And it's not an all out hyper bike. But it is hugely capable one that you can ride with your buddies on sport bikes or take a trip somewhere without fear. It would be very difficult to replace this bike with one bike I tell you I thought about it but there's absolutely no reason for me to do so until somebody makes a bike even more capable of what this can do! ✌️

The vfr 1200 being underappreciated is reflected to the bike's prices in Istanbul/Turkey, for instance, say a 2011 Busa is around 12K us.dollars, the price of an equivalent vfr 1200 is around 9 K us.dollars and the vfr has the better brakes. And one question Master Paulk, does not the vfr 1200f have vtec system? Looking forward for your new videos

Stizzy Grayson thanks for commenting again I appreciate that. Yes I believe Honda increased fuel tank .5 gallon which is just about perfect at 5.4 gallons in later models. I myself knew nothing about these bikes somebody had to tell me about them when I was looking at Zx14r's and Hayabusa's. I'm glad I did I saved a lot of money and possibly traffic tickets. These bikes with hard cases get no unwanted attention from law enforcement like a Hayabusa does and sacrifices very little in area of performance at the same time. Thanks again my friend

atillaadn actually no the Vfr1200f does not have vtec like the vfr800. It's valvetrain design was taken from the motocross Crf450! A simpler compact but effective design that really saves space and weight ...the vfr1200f engine is smaller and less weight than the vfr800 vtec engine!!! But the heavier frame and driveshaft system kinda offsets the engine weight advantage on the bigger Vfr. How are you enjoying your big Vfr?

Paulk Master I'm looking at the Honda VFR1200X CROSSTOUR. you answered my question., does this 1200 have vtech. Not having the Vtech could possibly be what pushes me across the finish line to pull the trigger. I like the fact it has screw adjusters for valves instead of shims. but to adjust you have to take the fuel tank, air breather and complete throttle body unit off. I've been riding a Moto Guzzi for 13yrs and it takes about 30 minutes to do a valve adj. But I do love the idea of owning the CROSSTOUR-X.

I agree with you that she needs to be nudged into corners but once the weight is in the right place she can hold a tight line for a big bike , certainly no CBR400RR.... But I digress, I have owned many bikes in my life from an 1100 Yamaha special (chopped and dropped) to 500 Laverda Montjuic.The VFR1200F is by far the most torque laden motor I have experienced. The bike is heavy, but once rolling the weight disappear. Nice review. Check out riding through London, fighting bears style.

Very weird at 8:29 that car driver decided to swap lanes like that in the intersection. They could see you were there. Chicken shit to be sure. I realize you do not get angry anymore. But the rest of us do. That was mean and chicken shit. Illegal too at least where I live. Dangerous. At 8:34 they did a brake check to the car behind them which almost made the car behind them move into your lane. Careless, mean, and illegal.

Love mine, agree with pretty much everything you say👍only issue with mine is the gearbox is a bit dodgy. 1st-3rd is perfect and slick. Into 4th is slightly clunky and I've had a couple of false neutrals. The worst is 5th-6th. I've had false neutrals quite often so I double clutch it in to make sure I dont do any damage. It either jumps out of 6th to a false neutral with a big grind or goes from 5th to the false neutral. Very annoying but I really love riding the bike

I don’t disagree ...I had a problem accidentally hitting neutral on 1-2 shifts particularly when I’m trying to hold a wheelie into 2nd gear. Every now and then I would get a false neutral or grind on 5-6 shift again only while riding very aggressive. Thanks for commenting and watching

Paul - This might apply more here in Aus (ADR restrictions) but the only whinge I had was the noticable dip in power around 3,500RPM. But I solved it via a power commander and akrapovic. ... and more power plus a beautiful note was nice! I have no idea why this bike didn't sell better? When you really get up it at the track, the heavy rear drive starts to cause "pogo sticking" as the front sorts out bumps quicker than the heavy rear drive can - BUT I love the shaft drive and it's shamed many a dedicated sportsbike. Oh, fully agree re Nil engine heat and the brakes - well stunning is all I can say after having a few underbraked bikes. Cheers and enjoy. I'm struggling to think of what I might ever replace it with.

My 110lb 5’2” Taiwanese wife can ride it. It feels very light and slim tank area makes it very easy to plant your feet. I’ve heard about fueling issues I’ve never notice anything weird. Mine was equipped with bazaaz 1st and 2nd gear eliminator when I purchased. Lost 1st and second gear indicator but it really moves. 1st gear power wheelies at 70mph stock doesn’t do that. So I think fueling issues are related to factory limits in 1st and second gears. Wet weight is 585lbs again I say it feels much lighter. I’m 53 and I gotta say I have to stretch my legs on this bike after 1 hour. I since switched to a streetglide I can go almost double before stretching maybe more with highway pegs after I install. Streetglide weighs 872lbs wet though. If you switch stop and go will be easier both planting your feet and a lighter clutch. I don’t know the handle bar position on the k1200LT but it’s more relaxed than k1300s I think on the big VFR. I was sad to let It go but I gotta slow it down so I bought a streetglide. Can’t match the performance of a k1200 but it is relaxing and fun. Oh yeah ..I had no driveline issues of any kind or any problems whatsoever it’s dead reliable. Driveshaft had a recall that was addressed before I bought it.

I'm wondering about the riding position. I currently have a GSX-R 600 and an FJR1300. According to cycle-ergos, the riding position of the VFR should be somewhere in between. My question to you is, can you ride the VFR for longer tours, with multiple 6 hour days in the saddle, comfortably? Or are you too far leaned forward for longer trips?
@paulkmaster3231
@paulkmaster3231 3 жыл бұрын
I wish I could give you an honest answer about a six hour ride on the VFR1200f I’ve never done it so I can’t even tell you how well it could do. The most I ever did without stopping is about 90 miles averaging about 90 miles an hour which is only one hour of course. The most I’ve ever done nonstop so far is about 225 miles and that is on a 2020 ZX14r. I can tell you the VFR is a lot more comfortable than a ZX14r. I don’t think it’s gonna be as comfortable as your FJ 1300 but it’s not gonna be anywhere near as bad as your 600. I know a lot of people put a lot of miles on the VFR without issue it’s just that I never did it myself personally. I hope that helps.

What is your realistic range on a tank of gas? Also sorry if i missed it in the video, did you remove the power restrictions in 1st / 2nd gear? Thinking about getting myself a very well kept VFR 1200F with on 3k miles on it, but its a 2011 so it wont be the "upgraded version"... Will also have to look into if the recalls have been carried out etc. Its a hassel but with only 3k miles on it i am so tempted.

@paulkmaster3231 4 жыл бұрын
Realistic range is 125-150 miles. If your heavy handed then expect not much more than 125miles. Yes the 1st and 2nd gear restrictions are gone but also are my 1st and 2nd gear indicators but it’s a fair swap. My bike was the 2010 so it doesn’t have the extra fuel capacity. I traded in my VFR and really missed that bike more than any other bike I’ve had. I traded it in for a 2018 Streetglide Special a couple years back wanting to slow down a bit. I missed it so bad I tried finding another in good shape but when I found one or two in my area they weren’t very well cared for like mine was. I ended up buying a 2020 ZX14r I gotta say the VFR isn’t that far off on real world performance plus it doesn’t have those beautiful and useful hard cases that look great with or without them on. Take it from me if you can get one in great shape grab it ...you won’t regret it. If you have any more questions I can help you with please feel free to email me at paulk.asemaster@gmail.com

Just kind of wondering if you've gone on any sort of longer range trip hitting a lot of constant highway miles and what kind of range you got on a tank during those. nightwolf667z if long distance comfort and range is a priority there are better options. My reasoning was how enjoyable it is as a daily driver and could it tour if I wanted too. In that respect it's the perfect bike for me. Many will say there is no other bike that will go 90+ for long periods as effortlessly as this bike can. If that sounds like you this is the one. With the super long distance you ride stick with FJR the VFR is more of a sport touring in a pinch and perfect for dreamers like myself that say "someday I'm gonna take a 1000 mile trip" but rarely if ever go. I use it as my daily commute and grocery getter. I ride it up to Palm Beach about 200 miles round trip to see my family up there. Adventure Hobbies I hate to say it but I traded in my beloved Vfr for something a lot slower 2018 Streetglide special. There was nothing wrong with my VFR I loved it ...it was an addiction but I had to slow down before my luck runs out. The Streetglide is very slow in comparison and soothing. I miss it ...one of the best bikes ever made in my opinion. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

+Martin Delira definitely more comfortable than a pure supersports or 95% of all nakeds. I'll put it to you like this it's only a little more uncomfortable than a FJR or Concours which aren't as comfy as a Goldwing or Harley Touring bike. Maybe an adventure bike with a lot of suspension and full upright position and big windscreen is more comfortable but none are as fast as a Vfr1200f it's a compromise either way. 2000 miles even on a goldwing is tiring. Great honest review! i'm looking into getting one of these myself. You mentioned some people notice a drop in power especially in the first few gears. From what i understand honda limited it in the 1st and 2nd gear. You say you don't notice it, but i see your dash indicates its always in 3rd gear or above. Some people used some software tricks to make the engine think its always in 3rd or higher gear to prevent the software block in first and second. Did you do this on purpose on your bike? and what was it like getting it adjusted? Any cons on it?

LJTeeuwsen I have the bazaaz 1st 2nd gear timing delete. But even with that people say it has a lull or hesitation in the fueling in the lower midrange but I don't notice it. Supposedly the Guy reflash eliminates whatever that is plus you get 1st 2nd gear indication without the timing reduced speed limiter removed and a extra 500rpm till rev cut. It's $385 after you send him your ecu. Anyways thanks for watching and commenting.

Couple of problems with the bike in Australia, which is why they don’t hold there price. Because of high ambient temperatures particularly in summer. In city traffic the engine oil gets to hot and thin. The gearbox turns into a bag of loose nuts and nails. Party relieved by upgrading to 10-40W oil. Suspension is super cheap, ok on freeways and around the city but once you get out of the city on our awful roads it can’t handle it and frankly is quite dangerous, particularly the front. Just had a suspension expert look at it and going to cost me $3400 to get half reasonable suspension. His recommendation sell it and buy something else. Gearbox is clunky, engine is superb but snatchy at low revs because of lean fuelling to meet emission standards. I have a 2016 model, 380 Kms per tank.

Im sorry you had problems but haven’t experienced any of those things you mentioned. I’m also in a hot climate in south Florida Miami area. Roads are in decent shape here. But Always thought the suspension was very good. Brakes phenomenal gear box smooth and positive. Road temps are 100-110f most of the year has had zero problems with oil pressure oil also it stays clean and clear in the sight glass after over 7k miles. I only use full synthetic oil. I use the recommended weight oil not a higher viscosity. On this channel I had a subscriber that owns a 2010 VFR1200f with over 100k miles with no issues other than the driveshaft recall. Which I also had done free of charge by Honda. I actually traded in my VFR1200f for a 2018 Harley Streetglide Special they have me $9k for my 30k 2010 VFR1200f. That bike sold immediately too. I miss that bike after over a year. There isn’t one to be found in The whole state of Florida for sale. You also mentioned engine fueling issue I never had but someone installed a timing retard delete by bazaaz the only side effect was 1st and second gear indicator light always showed 3rd gear then it would indicate 4,5,and 6th accurately. Apparently a good trade off. Pulls front wheel off the ground easily without clutch now. That’s probably why they limit the power. That motor is a gem and the biggest reason I miss it so bad now. Oh yeah the fuel range is definitely not great I agree but it workable I’m ready to get off any seat after 150miles or so even my Streetglide lol

Paulk Master Don’t get me wrong on good roads the ride is good. But heavy traffic, everything gets notchy, on the road no problem. Anything under 3000 rpm, snatchy it’s renowned for both those issues here. Engine life And reliability, well it’s a Honda. Suspension, no low speed or high speed compression damping. Front forks it’s not possible to achieve correct sag by adjusting preload. The engine is phenomenal. So. I have contacted a company in Western Australia who have sorted all these fuelling issues out and improve toque and power across the rev range by ten percent. They are also going to get rid of the power restrictions on first and second gear. Just have to send them the ECU and part with $520. Suspension is going to cost me about $4000 to sort. Again they know of the issues and have the answers. You have to bear in mind our roads are really bad once you get out of the city. Once these are sorted it will be excellent. In Australia you can’t give the bikes away I bought mine a 2016 model brand new in 2018. It’s a strange world.

Biggest flaw is range... any bike like that should get at least 200 miles on a tank. Next for me (riding mostly bmw's all my life) is saddle bags should have been designed a bit bigger - they kinda look funny as small as they are mounted on the bike for me... too bad, otherwise a really nice bike.

I agree 100% those are the two biggest issues with this bike. It’s a ripping sport touring bike though super fast I don’t even think the new H2 SX is that much quicker 0-60 or in the quarter mile. I truly thought about replacing the Vfr1200f with an H2 SX but not that much faster. I opted for a 2020 ZX14r instead for now...it’s more my style of riding. Great comment thanks for watching

I'll never understand why we still don't have a V4 version of the cbr. They wouldn't even have to do much to make it happen. Their V4 has been in production for decades, and we know they have a good handle on how to make a solid supersport frame. Just marry them and murder Aprilia.

I know ..but you never know maybe Honda will try again. Even though the Vfr1200f was IMO a great bike it wasn’t faster than a Hayabusa or ZX14r and since this is the successor to the Cbr1100xx Blackbird it didn’t win any horsepower wars with them. I think the new 2021 Hayabusa will be a sales loser as well because it too is slower less horsepower than we all hoped. I now own a 2020 Kawasaki ZX14r and I was worried I might have pulled the trigger to soon when the anticipated New Hayabusa was finally coming!!! No I didn’t have anything to worry about lol Sorry I got off track. It would be awesome if Honda came out with a V4 liter bike killer of Italian V4’s. Just like when Honda destroyed Ducati’s V twins. Maybe Honda will go back and do it again with V4’s ..we can only hope

@@paulkmaster3231 It's just too big and expensive though. Sport bike guys don't want a $16000 600lb bike when older, cheaper liter bikes can blow it out of the water. Touring guys don't want something that leans too far to the sport side of sport-touring at the expense of utilitarianism. It's just in a weird place. They need to go full super-sport with it imo. Smack Yamaha back down, and fire a shot across Aprilia's bow while their at it. Imagine the arms race that would follow.

Don't test Ride a SDuke GT and from what I hear the Motus V bikes are just absolutely Insane you'll want to replace her at that point. I'm actually probably gonna Downsize to the Ducati Supersport or move up to the superduke GT in two years. Only time will tell. Yet, I will tell you what I hate about my VFR1200. I own a 800 so I have to say I do hate how hard it is to throw the bike around. The Fuel range for it's weight is also another major Pet peeve for me. Yet, my all time biggest con for this bike is that horrible power reduction Honda Incorporated into gears 1 & 2( USA bikes) or Gears 1 , 2, & 3( all 1200s outside of America) This system is stupid.. too many times it just cuts out power altogether if I stick in Low RPMs for too long and then it'll normally go back to normal and the bike shoots off unexpectedly... I have no problem with it normally but it happens at least 2x a week as I daily in traffic.

This is the longest I went without stopping on this bike I just never had the opportunity to go further without stopping which was about 85-90 miles yes very fast too. I have gone much further on other bikes but not this one. For instance I went from Hollywood to just north of Key west without stopping on my 2018 Streetglide Special just last week it was great.

@@paulkmaster3231 I agree with Peter Taylor. One hour isn't what I'd consider touring comfort. You've put 25K on it and never more than an hour at a time doesn't make it sound comfy. I have a VFR800 and an hour to an hour and a half and I get butt burn such that getting off is a relief. And yet they call it a sport-tourer, too. Yeah, right. If only Honda would put a shaft and DCT on something other than an 800# bike (Gold Wing) they'd sell like hotcakes. But they don't.

tbillyjoeroth lol I said that’s the longest I’ve gone without stopping on this bike. It doesn’t mean it’s uncomfortable after 2 hours or more. Its just my trip was over after 90miles. In one hour zero fatigue. I’ve done the same on my 2018 streetglide special and at those speeds it ain’t comfortable. Also compared to a VFR800 it’s light years more comfortable both the rider pegs handlebar placement and wider seat make it better than a VFR800. It’s much more powerful comfy and it feels very light. The only thing better on the VFR800 is the exhaust note and about 50lbs lighter in the parking lot other than that it’s way better. Don’t believe me? Take it for a half an hour test ride around the corners and test out the power see if you it’s not better In Every way. Best of all you’ll never have to worry about little 600 super sports over taking you in a straight line lol

XX is a super cool motorcycle but hard to find and usually not good shape when you find one. The VFR1200f aren’t overpriced now and they were heavily discounted because of a lack of demand. The looks in person are much better than on screen. The quality of fit and finish are amazing as well. I know I never would have ever considered a VFR1200f till I saw one in person then test rode for over 30 minutes my salesmen said “ride it as long as you like and come back”. The salesmen knew what he was doing. I bought it right then.
